The Chinese is definitely my favorite I can understand it the lip flaps go with it bc it’s the original and it’s not over played but each one has its strengths and is lovely! 💓

For me, my internal translation translated it to 'the trick 'I' used to fix the Holy Lyre isn't 100% reliable'. Also, parts of the Mandarin just seem... clunky. Dunno if it's just me, but yeah.
Without a doubt my favourite scene so far, the facial expression and shock of Barbara is hilarious, who then proceeds to carry it away like its her adorable kid. Loved all of the language renditions from this scene, thanks for this compilation!
I get where people say Barbra lacks in energy in the english dub, there could've definitely been more emotion added. But I do like the softness in her voice, I think it really suits her appearance! All the voice acting was still great though, in my opinion.

I feel pretty comfortable in both Korean and Japanese so I compare the two translations a lot, and I think it's cool how Barbara's lines are in casual speech in Japanese, yet in the Korean her lines are in formal speech. The JP lines feel more aggressive and confrontational as a result (especially when she was "praying" to Barbatos but eventually just becomes a complaint lol). It's almost as if they are two different characters personality-wise. The JP Barbara doesn't try to hide her emotions and directly exposes her frustrations, and the KR Barbara tries her best to keep her composure even during a dire situation like this. I think the two different interpretation works well and the VA's each did a great job trying to convey that different personality.
The moment this became like one of those stereotypical anime scenes, then JP wins. The over exaggeration and the comedic vibe to the scene was screaming Anime.

Although Japanese sounds really nice and English is cool. The game is made by a Chinese firm, the animation is for the Chinese language, and watching the scene with the correct lip movement has its own perks and realism.
Well, it's Mihoyo afterall, "Tech otaku saves the world". The word otaku is Japanese, so it kinda points out that the devs are weebs. Their game Honkai Impact 3rd was heavily inspired by Evangelion, which is probably why they used JP voice as the primary one for global. They just made an option where players can switch languages to match their preference.
English dub sounds weird because sounds like "aaaggghhh" aren't commonly heard in English and shouldn't have been dubbed in English in the first place. (Even JP just made it into a "Gyaaaah!" sound) But while it's quite common for Asian languages to have those types of reactions, I think I'm more accustomed Westerners reacting in ways such as "HUH" or "WHAT" or some sort of cussing in place of the many that Asian languages have.

Japanese and Korean versions sound the most natural. I really appreciate the dubbers work. I mean, they literally SCREAM their lugs.

In all languages Barbara has each good characteristics, so I like all versions! But as I usually play in Japanese, I particularly like the Japanese one.

JP Voice is def the most seasoned. The voice conveys a huge amount of emotion that the others don't quite reach.

There's a lot of misunderstanding here...I believe it fits very well, it sounds mature because when he is not trolling he sounds very calm and level headed.

Japanese dub has too much emotions. Characters often sound just... hysterical. Chinese and English dub are usually better.
Except for the scream part, the english voices are actually pretty good. Venti's voice suits him really well here.

all versions sound good for me, tbh. But I guess it's because I'm used to hearing all those languages since I play the game in English dub, I'm used to watching subbed anime, and donghua, and is currently learning korean
Although Japanese sounds really nice and English is cool.
The game is made by a Chinese firm, the animation is for the Chinese language, and watching the scene with the correct lip movement has its own perks and realism.
Well, it's Mihoyo afterall, "Tech otaku saves the world". The word otaku is Japanese, so it kinda points out that the devs are weebs. Their game Honkai Impact 3rd was heavily inspired by Evangelion, which is probably why they used JP voice as the primary one for global. They just made an option where players can switch languages to match their preference.
I love the way she says "but you'll never touch the lyre again!" in English
English dub sounds weird because sounds like "aaaggghhh" aren't commonly heard in English and shouldn't have been dubbed in English in the first place. (Even JP just made it into a "Gyaaaah!" sound)
But while it's quite common for Asian languages to have those types of reactions, I think I'm more accustomed Westerners reacting in ways such as "HUH" or "WHAT" or some sort of cussing in place of the many that Asian languages have.
