I would really like to know your thoughts on how important it is to know where all the stuff that you buy come from, in what conditions they are made, what it means to the environment etc. you know, the ethical side of shopping. It is true that with your own hard earned money you can buy whatever you want and treat yourself, but it would be so interesting to know, is it really so that you feel like your hard work is more valuable than the even harder (and waaay less paid) work of those who make the things you surround yourself with. Do you ever feel guilty? Or is this something that just never crosses your mind? And I'm trying so hard not to come across hateful with this comment, I swear! ♥ TH-cam is filled with same kind of consumerism as your channel is, in some cases even worse obviously, and I would never put the blame on you alone, let alone straight away tell people how they should live! It's just that I have followed you for years and I like you and with your brain I've always kind of thought that you would one day bring up these things, show even a little bit of interest, and make more ethical decisions when it comes to clothes and other stuff. Just a secret wish that people in general would pay more attention to more responsible consuming, I guess.

There is so much information out on youtube about the working conditions for people that produce zara, h&m and primark clothes and I've learned to avoid shopping constantly new clothes, rather going for a german version of depop or checking out second hand shops when I need something. Well and Im really not some kind of hippie, but I wonder if youtubers like Helen have ever thought about the enviromental issues, as water usage and the tons of garbage from low quality clotehes that go to the bin daily, they're causing, by pretty much teaching their audience to buy and get rid of stuff and buy new stuf constantly. It's really noit doing anyone a favour and has nothing to do with having a personal style. I love watching Helens videos, but one part of me just thinks more and more that there is something wrong with this kind of youtube channels and I cant enjoy all those massive shopping hauls anymore. I wish one of those big youtube channels would finally speak out about it and adress the fast fashion issue and make a channge in this community. It makes me cringe when youtubers monthly get excited about how cheap some primark stuff was and how nice it looks, but its never being mentioned that 1. it wont last very long and 2. what the backround to this low price actually is.
