Marvin is not a tour guide! But he is a really good friend that I met while visiting Nairobi. He was nice enough to show me around Nairobi after we completed his interview 24 y/o e-commerce expert who has traveled to 26 countries and decided to call Nairobi home. Also stay tuned around 12:30 for a special cameo from Jamila 😁
I really appreciate your suggestion! It's always great to hear new ideas from my viewers. I'll make sure to research and dive into matatu culture for an unforgettable experience.
Your CBD streets tour guide was not very interactive. You passed the New Stanley hotel or what used to be called New Stanley, (think it still is), The Hilton Hotel, those two city hotels are iconic and unique and they are dope. Expensive but dope. I think he is too young to know the important landmarks or buildings. You also at a distance were very close to the Nation Center where the major newspaper company lives on. I was going memory lane with you walking as I watched. I guess that's the only disappointment I have. No interactions from your tour guide while walking in the streets. At least not too much of it. You missed out on most of the verbal part of the tour. But anyway, you got some workouts on walking the streets of Nairobi. Reminds me a little of NY Manhattan where almost everywhere is just a walking place. I love that. Enjoy your stay in Kenya if you haven't already gone back to the US.
He is not a tour guide! Just a good friend I met while in Kenya and was gracious enough to show me around. I'm surprised of how much he knows for only living there for 9months. Check out the interview we did where he explains how he has traveled to 26 countries as a 24 year old and choose to live in Nairobi 😁

Your tour guide said he didn't know who's statue that was of the first President of Kenya? Lord have mercy! That tells me clearly he is not an original Kenya and was not born in Kenya. Why would you have a tour guide that is not a local? Seriously? The statue outside KICC is of the first Kenyan President Jomo Kenyatta. Smdh. Just get a real local. You will enjoy your educational tours better. "Who's that guy?" (statue outside KICC), Tour guide: "I don't know". 🙄😱

Apart from a few missed (like the statue of the First President) Marvin seems a nice guy.
He is awesome!
Your guide guy I think he doesn't know Nairobi very well. Nairobi has lots of vibes from nightclubs, matatu culture, giraffe minor, etc
Nairobi my city my town
You live in a beautiful city 🇰🇪
What was the name of the restaurant that sold the camel meat? I want to try it , I'll be in Kenya in March
It is called Kilimanjaro Jamia located in the CBD. I hope you enjoy your trip! Kenya is amazing!
There's a bunch of Kilimanjaro restaurants. This particular one is next to Jamia Mosque, hence the name Kilimanjaro Jamia 😊
15:20 you don't know who that is surely that's our founding father Mzee jomo Kenyatta
We definitely learned now! Thank you
How did you like the stroll?

Your camera angles were poor but you'll get it right next time
We are always looking for ways to improve! Thank you
Marvin doesn't know our first president
That tells you he is not a Kenyan.
He knows of the first president. We just didnt walk to the statue because we were trying to get to kicc tower before it closed
Dude is out of breath because Nairobi is high altitude. Visitors from sea level always struggle.
Yes it was very different. But in a good way. I felt like I started getting use to it by the 3rd day
This guy is definitely not Kenyan he didn’t know whose statue that was???? It’s common knowledge 😢😢😢

Yes because he recently relocated to Kenya from Germany.
Thanks for the info! I know the first president just didn’t know that this is him there. Will know more the longer I’m in Kenya.
