I kinda love how Misty Quigley is like the antithesis to Wednesday Addams; while Wednesday is dark and morose but good at heart, Misty is bright and bubbly but utterly psychotic.
Me too. Even though it is super creepy of her to install the hidden camera at Natalie’s place, the way she rushed to Natalie’s place when she sees that Natalie is about to relapse is actually quite moving.
Except she’s not the most dangerous . She hasn’t killed anyone and she still sort of sticks to morals … people are so awful to her and expect her to take it.
@@Alicia-vq8jg really? She destroyed the radio transmitter that would’ve allowed them to be found & saved. She’s the reason they are all stuck in the woods for so long. @@Alicia-vq8jg I get it. I sympathized with Misty in the beginning. But, she takes it to another level & tries to destroy anyone who treats her poorly. We all have been treated poorly at some point in our life. But, I believe we all have a role to play in it. Like Jackie said in episode 10 - she never made Shauna be her friend & live in her shadow. Shauna had every opportunity to walk away but didn’t. So many want to blame others for their unhappiness, & it doesn’t work that way. The only person you can control is yourself. You own your happiness. If people mistreat you - leave. If you’re stuck in the woods with them - then change & stop trying to poison people. Ha. 🤷🏻♀️ I think Misty’s character is complicated & very interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised if Christina Ricci wins an Emmy for her portrayal of Misty. She’s so good. Episode 10 was fantastic! I can’t wait for next season!! 😊
Has anyone else noticed that not only the physical casting of adult v. young Misty was spot on.. BUT both Christina and Samantha have such similar voices too!!! An amazing casting choice 👏🏻
I'm convinced that Misty is the most dangerous person in the show. She's so capable of saving a life, but will turn on someone in the blink of an eye. Genius work.
I love this show. It's so carefully written that Misty is never just "the crazy one" or a caricature, but a whole complex person that you just want to watch unveil.
This series is so refreshing and each character, Misty included, has a distinctness and humanistic bent that really drives home how carefully they're written and played. Love it.
Definitely my favorite character. The way she just took charge the second the plane crashed, I hope I would have that kind of strength in the same situation.
I think she’s a distraction to make us think that, so we don’t see the real culprit. That’s just my take. I’ve watched way too many true crime mysteries. Ha.
All the characters they follow have some truly unsettling qualities to them, but Misty flat out scares me. Despite being highly organized, she displays many traits of sociopathy (impulsivity, erratic behavior, deceitfulness, fleeting emotions, and a lack of remorse for their actions). I love Ricci's description of her as a "villainous golden retriever." You can see how years of being bullied and mocked hammered her into a person who aims to please, but she's also someone who wants to be respected and even feared by the people who she considers her peers. Her desire to appease and impress others is chased tenaciously, and I think it's that relentlessness that I find frightening about her. She's the sort of person who would move literal mountains for her friends, even when they never asked her to, but you'd better show her some gratitude for her efforts, or else!
@@justaride77 Of course I know that. But let’s be real though. I’ve seen a lot of older women who are not “celebrities “ who looks way better than a lot of younger women. It is partly Mother Nature and how people take care of themselves.
There's so much I can say about this character. But I'll just say both actresses are playing the hell out of Misty. It's impressive how in sync they seem.
I love when they say 'psychopath', they _mean_ psychopath. You can really see Misty modulating her "emotions" around other people to whatever she thinks will get her the furthest in that situation. It just so happens that she most often believes being nice, or at least peppy, will get her the furthest. (She probably has had the most success with it, because of how she looks). The nicest psychopath you'll ever meet! Peppy is her default! And she's unfailingly loyal. And she is at least predictable in her amorality compared to some of the other girls who are 'sleeper creepers' as I like to call them. She will (probably) tell you that she's going to kill you. And if she doesn't, she's poison's biggest fan, so at least it will not be... _super_ violent. She's a real Ride Or Die (or Kill) kind of gal. Brilliantly acted! Could've so easily been a 2 Dimensional character and instead became a favourite! Bravo Christina and Sammi!
If anybody is really standing out on this show; it would Christina Ricci & Samantha Hanratty as "Misty Quigley" as well as Juliette Lewis & Sophie Thacther as "Natalie Scatorino". It's like these actresses have proven to be the backbone of "Yellowjackets".
Misty is both the person you absolutely want to have around in a survival scenario and also the person you absolutely _do not_ want to have around in a survival scenario.
I Love how Christina supports Amber Heard but Samantha made a video on tiktok mocking amber. Really hope Christina was able to talk some sense into Sami because the video has been deleted.
The part where they show Misty drinking what looks like blood i dont think is blood. One of the episodes deals with Homecoming/class reunion. I'm guessing that the girls hold their own prom and what Misty is drinking is some form of fermented drink and them running around is them being drunk and acting drunk.
Haha i literally just took a screenshot of young Misty drinking from a cup.. looks like blood and shes got the Midsommar headpiece of flowers going on too
misty feels like a true sociopath as someone raised by one, they aren’t villains just a human built by their experiences. She nails how the resentment can turn into people pleasing out of a need to survive and blend in. A thing many people do irl to get by. It’s refreshing to see how those qualities can make a terribly charming human, who’s somehow always in control, and terrifying in a realistic sense. From her black and white thinking around loyalty to what’s appropriate at what time she’s definitely my favorite 😂 would I be her friend? no! I keep a distance even with my parent lol yet still could I enjoy it.
The biggest mystery with Misty is why she’s referred as ugly when both actresses playing the character are by far the best looking girls on the show. Unless you’re ugly by default in America because you wear eyeglasses.
My favorite character on this show - as portrayed by both actresses - and I hope there is some redemption coming for Misty because despite the sketchy things we've seen, I still think she is more good than bad. Plus people are so awful to her, I can't blame her when she seeks a bit of revenge.

I think she’s endearing in a pathetic way. I love Misty, she’s the secret ingredient that keeps us entertained and laughing through the cannibalism.
I just finished binging the show. We are given so many reasons to despise her, yet somehow she ended up being my favorite character.
The way these two actresses describe misty is spot on she is creepy scary manipulative and the most dangerous out of the surviving women.
