    dude thank you soooo much for this!! I'm a high school sophomore whose passion is animation and digital arts but I know it's not really a lucrative career. but this made me relieved-now I MIGHT be able to major in CS and still minor in animation!! also I really love your videos so much!

      Hey! Please update me regarding your life as a CS major and Animation minor.
      I quit CS for animation because it's not for me. I kept on failing my subjects even if I did my best. They just won't enter my brain easily.
      Right now I am taking animation especially since I much prefer it and my classmates are way friendlier and approachable.

    • @manjooku
      @manjooku ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hii again! I'm a high school senior now, and I'm committed to a college that offers a hybrid major of CS and digital art! like an artistic version of CS. i still will take the same intro and programming classes as the CS majors, except I'll get a lot more exposure to UI/UX design and computer animation. I haven't started college yet but I'm excited as this major suits my interests and goal.
      How is it going for you?

    • @akizaizayoi4763
      @akizaizayoi4763 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@manjooku hey... About my situation: everything was going uphill for me. My drawing skills have become so good. Not as good as most of my classmates, admittedly. But I have finally become too confident and is now able to draw really quickly. All I had to do was to stay consistent, be patient, and learn to draw more complicated stuff.
      However, everything now is crashing down. My step dad, who's been financing us for so many years just passed away. I have to stop going to art school since it's so expensive. I will have to take jobs like a call center again or go become a virtual assistant (since I live in a 3rd world country wherein it's way cheaper here as one of the pros).
      I am grieving. My step dad just retired for good to live here. But he was gone so soon.
      I am not sure when I can continue with my studies as an art student again. But I will do my best to get a job right away, learn to invest, and have lots of passive income.
      Surely, my step dad left us some money. But it's all mom's decision on what to do. I hope mom would invest them.
      I will still continue to do art and aspire to become an animator then an architect someday if I can. But I cannot do it in a very quick pace as of now. Unless I can surely secure my finances. I will still learn art mostly on my own and with the help of the books that I bought and tutorials.

    My minor was poli sci. Mainly because I had 12 hours in it when I switched majors to journalism. I only needed 3 more hours in poli sci to complete it if I made it a minor, and I didn't want to have to extend college more than I had to. Of course, when I was in school in the mid-1980s, tuition in Texas wasn't ridiculous as it is now. You could pay for school working part-time after school without racking up crippling debt. Not sure how these students do it now.

    • @wolfworks7339

      Yes. Either option is great, though I would be careful about which one you choose based on what you plan to do. If you're looking to be more employable, then I would choose a minor in business, as finance is more niche outside of things like investment firms.
      On the other hand if you're just looking to learn more about how money works, maybe want to learn how to manage your own investment portfolio, or maybe you do want to be able to go work at an investment firm, ect, then finance may be the better option.
