'There'll be a REBUILD for sure! It was obvious in first 3 weeks' | Liverpool 4-0 Man Utd | Rangnick

  • Ralf Rangnick admitted he was “embarrassed” after watching his Manchester United side be thoroughly outplayed as Liverpool returned to the top of the table with a 4-0 win.
    United barely got a touch of the ball as Luis Diaz and Mo Salah put Liverpool in control before half-time, and though a change of formation briefly helped United improve after the break, further goals from Sadio Mane and Salah finished them off.

    Fans seem to forget, no elite manager was readily available when Solksjaer was sacked. Rangnick wasn't brought in as a potential manager, but to try to make the best of this poor team, assess what was needed to rebuild and pave the way for new manager. There's got to be a massive clear out and rebuild that's obvious to every fan. When Ten Hag takes over, he'll be well briefed by Ralf and supported in the background over the next two years. A long haul ahead, but it all starts with the clear-out at the end of this season. Bring up the best of the Academy, with two or three new signings every window. It may mean we sit in the bottom half of the table next season, but rather that than the half-hearted, free loaders overloading this team at present. As it stands we won't even make the Europa League, never mind top 4. Given the task ahead, maybe no bad thing and the squad can be pared down to a minimum.

    If manchester united want to play entertaining football again. They need to sell players like rashford, who is a counterattacking, mid table player at best ,who relies on speed and space and no football iq. Also Awb whose only attribute is slide tackle. You dont play a free flowing football with a full back who cant dribble, pass and cross. And maguire who needs 5 at back and two cdms to babysit. Still he conceded in 5 minutes with a such system. Also they should sell mc fred or if they keep him, they should never be starters because they both lack positional awareness, though they run a lot, are not press resistant and also cant do a proper thirty yard pass. Also there is luke shaw who will look good at times and below average most of the time and very injury prone , you cant rely on such inconsistent player if you want to win the League

    Still plays with dead players like Maguire when he has capable players in the bench. I understand that changing a lot in a flash can be bad, but I don't think changing that player will make such a big difference to the overall score. • @tonytogany4999
    @tonytogany4999 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Great Coach tbh. I think it's unfortunate that he came in to coach a weak squad. A rebuild is needed and as much as Ronaldo fans will not admit, it should have started by not signing Ronaldo last summer. As great a goal scorer he is, he is not at the age where you build a team around him and Man U needed a rebuild before Ronaldo even came. They just prolonged their misery by signing Ronaldo whereas they could have used this money to invest in better talent and build a better squad over the next couple of windows. They went for the 'feel good' moment and lost sight of the bigger picture which is that in today's game, you need multiple strikers scoring and assisting each other and not just one person.
    Also, Ronaldo's mentality when it comes to playing is to score as many goals as possible which is great for him but it doesn't help those around him. He can score 20+ goals a season but the team will still struggle as he always has to be the main goal scorer. At his age, he needed to go to an already good team when he can just come off the bench or play 60 or so minutes to score you important goals because he is lethal in the box and that is his best way to play now.
    By contrast if you look at Messi at PSG, he is integrated as more of a play maker and has realised that he needs to to reduce his goal numbers with Mbappe and Neymar playing by his side. so he will have to settle for fewer goals (whether he likes it or not) but use his playmaking ability to unlock defence and use the pace of Neymar and Mbappe. Now things could change if Mbappe leaves but for now, this will have to be messi's role.

      Interesting that Ralf is fraud. These players failed under three managers. These players paid so much of money. And they can't even run for the ball. The best thing that the know is to throw the Manager under the bus.

    • @syphonstube
      @syphonstube 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The manager is referring to where Liverpool were in the league not the players. He specifically said to buy players that fit the way the manager wants to play, including mentality, attitude, etc.
      The Man United owners and board have given managers limited options (not funds) for transfers in and out, which takes away a managers power.
      If you can't ship out who you want, there'll always be problems. On top of that, if you can't bring in exactly who you want, then they might not fit the style, system or attitude you want much less plug the holes in your squad.
      There's been times when our managers have had 4 no10 players 5 left forwards and no right winger or defensive midfielder smh.
      Ralf is right in everything he's saying, it's not rocket science
