Does this have a heating problem? Many docking station i used before had that problem - they would rapidly heat up and all USB devices connected stop working! Also my ASUS Laptop requires 100w but most docks seem to deliver only 85-90w to the host laptop.
A great product with a great man on the TV screen behind you. A little disappointed you didn’t check to see: “will it blend?” But I guess that shtick has been done before. 10/10 originality.
It will prioritized the laptop up to 87 watts to the laptop, and what it doesn't draw or anything beyond that cap is sent to the usb-A ports to power those devices. The front usbc port is data only.
i bought this.. but when I use it with my two monitors its not charging my macbook pro at the same time.. I read online it should charge your laptop while plugged into the dock. Am i misinformed on this?
There are tons of these on the market under different brands. No idea who came up with the original. I got one of these from blitzwolf and I've used it on and off for about 2 years. It does the job
I bought this one and feel stupid because I honestly don't know how to connect it! If the USBC power port is being used to supply power and the only OTHER two USBC ports are taken up by the double connector that comes with it, do I just connect my external monitor via HDMI or the DP port? How can I take advantage of the "convenience" of thunderbolts "one cable connection" if I have no way to connect one? 🤦🏻♂️
Great question, Yes you would connect your monitor via HDMI. The one cable connections is in reference to the single cable that connects to the laptop. You will still need to connect a cable to the dock for everything else you want to use (Keyboard, USB Hub, etc).
@@TopShelfMediatv then I guess I need to send mine back. The whole reason for getting this dock was to be able to do just that - connect everything to the dock, with one thunderbolt cable running to the MacBook itself.

I bought Tobenone UDS025. One HDMI dock station only displays one monitor.
Do you know of a fix?

Do you need to have the power plugged in? I ran mine without plugging anything into power and it seemed to work
I believe it only needs to be plugged in to charge the laptop

You are not misinformed. This dock should charge your laptop. You should contact Tobenone, their customer service was great when I contacted them
