@@squintyt4e_2 the band is Tommy and JY. No Dennis, No John, no Chuck. Styx in name only. ❤ Yes. It's been 25 years. Yes, that's why I don't go to gigs of a greatest hits band. There is a point when it's just good to retire and let the music sing for itself. I'm not a the band died when Dennis got canned fan. I'm a the band died when they ceased being relevant fan. As a fan of the music I'd really love for the live performances to just stop. They are a bit sad, and kind of destroying the true beauty that this band made. I saw them live from the late 70s to the UK early 90s, all brilliant. There is no st a time to shoot your horse. That was easily 10 years ago. Man, can I just HAVE my memories of when it is as SO FUCKING GOOD? Appa😮not. Keep on Flogging kids.n😢😢
@@barbarahallowell2613You can let the memories of the shows and songs live in your heart and kind. And just ignore that they are touring- simple as that. You’re ruining your own memories if you hate what they are doing now and yet you still continue to complain about it online. Take your memories and enjoy them - it’ll be easier if you don’t fight with others on videos of the next generation of Styx which is doing great business and keeping the music alive for the thousands who want to hear it nightly! 😊
Thanks for posting! This is the arena I grew up with. I saw that they were going to be playing there. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the area, so I couldn't attend. However, I caught them last year, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen!
I hadn't been to the Broome County Arena (it will always be that to me) for 12 years and first was there back in 1992...it was weird being back for sure! Was a great show though! I captured the full Styx show if you're interested (link above in the description of this video).
@@squintyt4e_2 I saw that you had posted the entire show. I will check it out when I have the time. I went right to "Come Sail Away" as that probably is my favorite Styx tune. I went to many a hockey game at The Arena growing up; only attended a few concerts, though. And, yes, it always will be The Broome County Arena (or just The Arena) to me, too.
@@PikesvilleAl you nailed it bro. Dennis was Styx as much as Mick Jagger is the Rolling Stones. You could replace Mick but it would be karaoke just like Styx has done.
Don't get things confused, this is played live! I always liked Dennis, but he left many years ago... Lawrence has done an excellent job as a keyboardist and singer!
Does DDY pay you to troll Styx videos or do you have nothing else to do that you do it on your own? DDY hasn’t been on a Styx stage in over 25 years. Time to let it go.
I’m so glad I came to this show!
Awesome concert, as always! They still sound amazing! ❤
So sad Dennis is not there. He was always Styx to me..
He’s been gone for 25 years…the band is so good right now.

This is for Connie, long may she run
The karaoke is good.
Styx Rocks!! Love all you guys!!
That's all it is.A glorified cover. Will never match the sincerity of Dennis Deyoung's vocals.

Crowd throwing up devil horns is appropriate. JY and Tommy old their souls to steal the bad from Dennis.
