The way the author describes rape paralleled with the quotes from Dworkin that you read made me sick. The fact so many men to this day don't understand the absolute horror that is rape and why it is so unacceptable is a depressing reflection of how far we still have to move forward in terms of women's rights. It also says alot about the author that the terfs were discussing in such a sexual matter. The fact that multiple (?) of them were described as chasers suggests to me that this is some fantasy of the author's. I really liked your review of this despite the book being gratuitous bile. I would love to see other reviews from you in the future, if that interests you. Maybe in the future you could review a book about feminism or the gender critical view of transgender identity?
I am looking at doing more reviews like this! Just trying to figure out which one to tackle next! If you have any specific books you'd like me to review, let me know!
I think that it would be really interesting to see a review of Janice Raymond's The Transexual Empire. I only ever really see the one quote from it mentioned (the one you talked about in this video) and little else in the book is really talked about. Although by this point it is quite an old book, I think it would cool to see a review of the whole thing.
Other people have made great comments about the obvious flaws of this story, but the only thing I could think of is “men writing women” Men writing women is such a trope because it’s so common for male authors to project their own fetishes, stereotypes and uncharitable assumptions about women onto their female characters. And despite robust internet criticism of the MWW phenomenon, these men remain staunchly confident that their work is accurate and that anyone saying otherwise are just “woke SJWs”. Which is also a male quality
Wokeness is overwhelmingly toxic femininity. The reason why more women than men support trans-insanity is not "internalized patriarchy" but Pathological Altruism, a moral and psychological dysfunction disproportionate to females.
besides the SA scenes being disgusting, the book itself just sounds boring. it just screams resentment that we are seen as women even if we don’t get all these surgeries, hormones, or makeup, and it also sounds like they want to correctively r*pe us. the author would just be seen as a rambling misogynist man if he didn’t take on the trans identity
Oh it was absolutely boring. If I wasn't making content about it, I wouldn't have finished it. The story itself was meandering and badly written. Wasn't engaging at all, even when he wanted you to be upset over it. I've read better splatterpunk for free on Amazon.
WTAF is this abomination? (the book, not the review). I couldn't finish the video, going outside to stare at the sun and hope for a comet. I feel guilty for not doing feminism harder for the last 40 years, I'm sorry. Also, if you review books, you get to be a book reviewer! You are a good one!
Another radfem called A slightly Twisted Female made a video on this a while back. I was shocked at how much this guy is clear on his sexual gratification on murdering women in this book.
Honestly it's a shame because "how would trans people fair in the apocalypse?" is genuinely interesting. Too bad this book seems more obsessed with dunking on terfs and writing smut than actually exploring that concept. Thank you for the insightful and honest review
They’d all immediately revert back to being men because men will only claim to be women when it’s convenient to do so. There weren’t transwomen until actual women got the vote. There aren’t transwomen in Afghanistan. These men would go back to being the murdering cavemen they already are.
Gaia bless you for reading this drek sister. I am queasy of sex scenes and sorry you had to suffer to give us this info. Make sure you give yourself some extra self care because HOLY CRAP that book sounds like utter garbage. I'm off to give this a 1 star rating on Amazon
And it’s celebrated sadly. But hey they brought it on to themselves we warned them trannies were dangerous but they kept screaming Nazi at every turn. Nothing we can do for now
It’s because normal men are less violent and sexist then autogynephiles. No, seriously. Women would be safer in “cis prisons” with regular male felons than they are in so-called women’s prisons with “transwomen”.
This "book" is so disgusting.... Without reading it, even parts from it were enough for me to start feeling sick. 🤢 And it was published?! That's terrible! Anyway... Thank you for making this video! 👍
I mostly agree with the video with the expectation of the general denial of trans people The only thing I'm kinda confused is your critique of the sexualization, I understand that yeah, us men do have a systematic way of belittling and controlling you guys in sex But uh, what about sapphics? I have seen a lot of wlw works that form female lesbians that isn't any different than what Manhunt is in terms of how they write and present women
The difference is the power behind the male gaze versus the female gaze, and it's role and acceptances in mainstream culture. The male gaze has resources to create resulting violence, which is what rape culture is; the female gaze, particularly that of lesbians does not. And to be quite honest, I have yet to see any book written by a lesbian with this amount of sexualized rape presented as high art in the same manner this book is, nor have I seen any such book presented as uncritically and widely representative of women as this one.
They really, really don't want women to refuse to be divided by race...

It's projection at its finest but that a common aspect to gender ideology. It's just rare to see it so heavy and so badly disguised.

Now imagine how I feel, having read the whole thing 😅😂
@@runawaysiren940 Sorry, just a weak mortal, can't even imagine. Need baby bunny videos and weighted blanket now.

He's a real piece of work.
That's called "stunning and brave" now
She's an "anti woke" republican, not a radfem. Her analysis is still decent though.
@@yangwen-li5881 It's so hard to find any truly radical feminist creators

This book sounds awful and misogynistic to the max but most of all boring. I appreciate the travel log video approach for zoning out

Oh at a certain point I just starting skimming. A skill I've earned as an avid fanfiction reader. I can block out horrible sex scenes lmao.
I'm a heterosexual man and even I'm cringing at this novel. It's like there is no self awareness.
I think anyone who hasn't drank the kool aid would cringe at this one. One of the worst books I've ever read (and that includes my YA novel years).

ohhhh another video i can't wait for!!
I suffered a lot to bring you this one sis😔
I appreciate your sacrifice!! This TIM fetish fantasy is infuriating
I like how all the positive reviews are by either normal men or men in dresses
Obviously they see nothing wrong with a novel comprised entirely of misinformation and rape fantasies.
This Gretchen thing is a foul, misogynistic monster. Utterly grim.

“General denial of trans people”. No one is denying the problem exists.
