I love this! 10 guidelines that were clear and connected. Thank you. I keep a tracker space in my bulletin journal when for when I take the time to do something creative. It is very self confirming of how well I am creating a habit. I love the point of starting small, break it down. I am returning to my art practice after a long time ignoring it because, as you said, life happens. I am not creating huge expectations for my practice, but creating opportunities and space to do a little each day. Am I where I want to be with my art practice? No but I have the proof of trying. This makes it easier to keep going. Thank you for your vlog post!
I am so happy to hear you're creating again! Life does happen and I think of pauses as part of my practice now. I came down with a mild cold this week (husky voice in latest vid haha) and haven't finished this painting by the end of the month like I wanted to. But slowly-slowly. I'm cheering you on! ❤️
This advice is so helpful! I am an impatient perfectionist 😅 and I have been trying to start my business for so long but would stop because of impatience and it not being perfect right off the bat. Lately, I have been trying to learn to paint and have been trying to just do like 15 minutes of painting a day. I am also trying to do baby steps to get my businesses going. I know failure is a part of the learning process, also. I need to learn to be okay with imperfection and making mistakes! Thanks for this video ❤
Anna, you have exactly the combination of gentle kindness and firm encouragement that we creative types need! (At least, that I need!) Subscribed, and I can't wait for more of your videos. (Also, your end blooper was the most human and wonderful thing 😊)
These are all thoughts I’ve had but never been able to articulate. Your energy is so so beautiful. I needed this right now, and here you are. So much love from my heart to yours. ❤
Wow we can be hard on ourselves! A house move! Now tell me how will you celebrate everything you've done and gently bring your routine back when you've rested enough and feel ready?
Great content. Love your energy, beautiful self, and beautiful setting. But I find your continual use of big hand and arm movements very distracting, and unfortunately wound up listening instead of watching. I did subscribe!.
Aw bless you! I DO move my hands a lot, don't I? I'll probably continue because I take up a lot of space but I'll make sure to keep my sound on point so you can always podcast my content ❤️
@@aniafedorovaI personally love the big hand movements haha! It helps me stay engaged and give a ‘visual’ aspect to what you’re saying. However what distacted me a bit in the video was the side-shot where you’re not looking in the camera while talking to us, it feels slightly disconnective - but maybe that’s jusr me! Also love the rest of the video setting visuals etc!!
EXCELLENT tips !! I'm an ARtiSt- BUT i think * EVERYONE * can benefit from being creative in their life !! ♡ thank you for the video =)

i love words like 'crap' lol. great video and nice to see the ' be still and know that i am God' in the background 💝💝
Haha love the linguistic path we're embarking on here. Crap is such a funny little word, isn't it? Something crisp about it.

I so needed this! Been beating myself up for not keeping up my writing habit during a house move, this is helping me be kinder to myself ❤

Maybe because of the camera angles, also wide angle shots.

Nah I'm just annoying like that haha IRL too! I send things flying with my big hand gestures at parties etc.
