Even worse when Halfords cock things up and you have to put them right 😅 wish I found this video before could have done it myself, least nothing would have got broken.
Thanks. Just saved me a load of mess on. Halfords wouldn't touch it they said 'garage mate, 2 hours labour needed to take all the gear off around it' Imagine his suprise when I went in 30 mins later for the battery and told him it took 5 mins after watching TH-cam 😂
Thanks for sharing your experience, I’m glad to hear it. Plenty of garages like that just want to charge ridiculous. I did it with 1 hand in 15 minutes 😂
Thank you very much. Just replaced my battery and this was a godsend. Just by looking at it i thought it was too complicated for me but this made it easy. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing, you absolute legend! Just had to change my battery in -15c weather and this ensured I didn’t have to spent a moment longer than needed outside 😁
Forgot to plug the battery control board back in at 11:27 my poor 3008 did not like that 😂 took me a while to figure out where I went wrong. Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with many many faults 😭 Also I’ve noticed in your video you have 3 wires to bolt back in to the fuse board my car only has 1 at the top (it’s got the 3 threaded nuts) Very useful video, I had to repair what Halfords messed up changing my battery. 😅 Cars all working now thankfully 😅
Hello friend, thanks for sharing the video. Is it an E-HDI engine? I have a 3008 e-hdi 2013, but I noticed that the start stop does not work, apparently it is because the previous owner installed a normal battery? may be?
A great informative video, thankyou. I took one look at mine, saw the maze of wires on the front and thought no way but your video made it look a lot less overwhelming. What size/length of extension bar did you use for undoing the side clamp and the rear battery terminal please?
Edited between placing the clamp and tightening it...That'll be the 20 minutes of swearing and cursing the idiots who thought it was a good idea to put a bracket in such a stupid tight place followed by some cursing and swearing at the backet and bolt.
I dropped it back in coming from the front not down. Was easier. Then put bolt in socket and extension without the handle and went in an angle from front too. Then went vertical and hand tightened. Was easy tbh. Got it first time and took a min. Expected a faff
Hi great video,i have same vehicle and looking for a new battery,i notice the bosch 008 your fitting is not for start/stop vehicles, should be a bosch s4e08 or equivelent, does it still stop/start,many thanks.
Its a sad day when you have to go find a video on how to replace a battery , but a great day when you find the exact car model video
Even worse when Halfords cock things up and you have to put them right 😅 wish I found this video before could have done it myself, least nothing would have got broken.
Helpful video, saved me alot of time , once again praise the 'designers' who build a car around an engine, forgetting it has to be worked on

Halfords touched mine……
It’s been a lesson learned 😅

Thank you for the feedback and I’m so glad to help 👍 I think the extension would be around 8-10”
You made my life much easier. Thank you mate!

Hey,sir. We produce LEDs for auto and reached out to you via email for inquiring an opportunity. Did you receive email from our team?
I’ll have a look, probably gone into spam.
TH-cam is my go to channel for help & advice and this video does it so well. Well done sir - all with one hand too.
Thank you for the comment, really glad to have helped!
Very useful, thanks!

Thank you SIR ...
Can I know what spanar are you using? And what size of the spanar??
Great video, well explained , i needed my 2 hands and still got it difficult, thanks
What battery model is this? 096 or 027?
Didnt the computer reset when you unplug the battery? Maybe we should parallel link an alternative 12v source first?
Not necessary but you can if you wish. Saves having to set the clock.
Thanks a lot for this
