Good review. What size micro SD card would you recommend. I thought a 128GB would suffice. Thanks

If you already have a 128 GB micro SD card I would just use that one. But if you are buying new then I would go for a 512 gigabyte card just because it only cost a few dollars more

I bought the EZVIZ model C3TN. It will take a 256GB max. I’ll try the 128GB card I have. Thx from Edmonton Alberta Canada

@@nw7090 I made this so long ago that I forgot about details like that. I'm glad you knew. I'm sure 128 will be great

I have two points, problems, with this camera. The first is that I receive every single minute notification, without any reason (camera in a room with no person moving around)! I have read the user’s manual but I didn’t find any solution for this. The second issue is that I have not found any way to delete all these notifications at once, but I must remove them manually one by one. As you can imagine this is crazy!!! I wonder if there is something you would suggest me as a solution to these issues!
    Thanks in advance!

Oof, that's obnoxious. I don't think I ever got notifications from mine. I may have had them turned off. This is very much a budget camera, so software support & updates are not likely.
I honestly would recommend one of Eufy's cameras that cost a little more, but have better options, and imagine quality

Great review. Is it a "2k at 3 megapix", because this is a budget model? How does it compare, regarding size of sensor, to similarly priced video camera's.
Recommendation; it appears to be able to monitor your gate (left side of image), and still cover the precious raspberries. Seems like that would be more valuable in a security sense.
    But I could be wrong...

So my other security cameras use a 4MP sensor to create their 2k resolution. So this is a little less. And that gate is covered by 2 other cameras. This was just set up because the power was in a convenient place. It was all just for testing.
Thanks for the tips, and for watching.

Does this camera's detection work with Alexa routines? I have smart lights and I want them to to turn on if this camera detects a person or I want alexa to talk to me ant let me know, etc

    Can this record 24/7?

    • @GrantButler
      @GrantButler  ปีที่แล้ว

No, it uses motion to activate recording

HI, thanks really thorough video. The only other thing I was curious about which you decided to leave out😉 is accessing the camera's via the web interface and what that is like. Also any other options like can you access it on an echo show or google tablet thing. 👊

    • @GrantButler

I didn't know the web interface was an option.

Save yourself the stress, never EVER buy an Ezviz product, EVER. If you value your sanity, don't do it. There are so many problems but one of the most ridiculous ones is when you have human motion detection on, if a fly goes by, a car, a leaf, etc. it picks it up as a human. This is hands down the worst camera company.

Maybe check out EUFY. The investment is worth it

I left a home with 3 EZVIZ OUTDOOR cameras because I didn’t want to climb up to remove them. Had a few problems in the beginning but when i upgraded to stronger wifi the problems disappeared.

horrible cam. stay away. SD card access : your 3x7 ladder. AI detection: vehicle and person, where you cannot define zones, so completely useless for any kind of access or intrusion protection. someone jumping your fence or pesky neigbor takin your parking space? no luck with this cam... ezviz app makes your life harder in almost any function - unless this is only in my new version and maybe not when you made this video, idk. cloud DL is also very tedious, you cannot select multiple vids. so this is an awesome product - until some actual serious thing happens, home intrusion, burglary, damage to your car, etc, when you are already strung out, and need to present it to the cops on the tempo.

@kbuss10 I really liked it at the beginning, but at this price point, I would recommend a low end camera from Eufy. Their user interface is much better in my opinion.

@@GrantButler in my country this just got even more expensive 3 days ago. im stunned. so glad i went for the 60day return option so i don hav to deal with this turd at cristmas time. laddering in snow will be just enough. THX for the tip Mate!! btw on my side i recommend the kinda new imou bullet 3. in my country it costs half of this. very similar in heft, but got scedule for constant rec AND event, sd card access not the best but usable, desktop app, browser cloud access, and zone for AI, but the same for person vehicle pet. thats the only drawback. but the zone is very nice, its a 6 point freeform poligon.
