- In an unprecedented show of international solidarity, the creation of the Confederation of States of Salt (AES) has garnered support beyond the borders of its member states. A significant movement uniting the AES diaspora convened across Europe to express their support for the governments of Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso.

Since the Berlin Conference of 1885, also known as the Scramble for Africa, the actions of Western powers have inflicted a level of harm upon the African continent that surpasses even the horrors of the Holocaust. European colonizers are responsible for the deaths of over 40 million African people, not to mention the countless others who were enslaved, traded, or perished as captives. The United States itself was built on the backs of enslaved Africans. The time has now arrived for Africa to assert its rightful claim to self-determination. Nations such as Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger have already taken steps in this direction, and it is imperative that others follow suit by rejecting the influence of the West and their proxy leaders.
