Congrats on getting back on the bike and the weight loss. I had a shoulder surgery last year and put on some weight. Long story short,I changed my diet and went from 220lbs to197lbs. Feeling great. Love the channel, keep up the good work.
Yo!!! Good to see you back on the bike bro! I feel your pain with the rear brake hose routing… Done it on all my e-bikes and it’s quite the chore. It does get a little easier each time though. Good luck to everyone entering for the T9 raffle! That bike rips!! 🤘🏻
Haha for sure. Each time I do something like that, I go "never again". Then I eventually forget how hard it was and go "I should upgrade these brakes". I'm working on building and "exotic" Enduro and that will be external routing 💪
Hey Evan at 6:52 your chain is skipping because your cassette is worn out and possibly your front chainring is also but most likely the cassette. Usually, you can get 2 maybe 3 chains out of 1 cassette but if you ride a chain worn too long it will just wear the cassette faster so you probably need a new cassette.
Yeah I checked it yesterday and you're right, totally worn out. The crazy thing is, I believe I used the cassette for just a month (although I got it lightly used from a friend). It chewed up the GX cassette!
@@EvansMTBSaga maybe try a Shimano Cues cassette. It's not going to look as blingy as your current cassette but Cues is made for e-bikes so it should be able to take whatever you throw at it.
Whats the orange tool you are using to hold your handle bars straight when the bike is on the bike stand? I been using a bungee cord and its far from good.
Good to see you’re doing well. I broke my collarbone 2 and a half weeks ago when I went over the bars on a blue trail of all things :-/ So frustrating walking downstairs and seeing my Nukeproof Scout in its stand, but not being able to ride it and seeing the last of the good weather this year slip away. Ah well I’m alive and it should heal up fine and at least i can replace my bent brake levers with higher end ones. Stoked for you to be back riding.
Haha oh yeah I did that once, that's why I went wireless in this video. Luckily the motor fell out when I went to remove it, so the dropper cable was pretty easy haha
Would've loved that s-works but I would've probably killed the frame within a month considering how many heavy rock strikes i get on my aluminium frame. It looks like it has been skinned alive whereas carbon would've died 10 times over 😀congrats to the lucky winner, sweet bike! Also glad you're finally back Evan, hoping to see more riding videos soon
I sliced my left thumb open with a axe, knicked the tendon, severed a bunch of nerves and chipped the knuckle bone, I can sympathise with how your finding your thumb. It’s been 8 weeks, thumb is still numb and finding laps at dyfi bike park is making my whole left hand and arm numbs because I’m gripping the bar too tight, anyway hope your recovery continues and keep up the videos.
Glad you're healing good. Ligament tears take a while, breaking bones heals much faster! I did my ACL so know the frustration of wanting to get back into it. Bike looked like it's really dialled.
@@EvansMTBSaga I'd describe it as a dull ache after riding. Muscles in the area overworking as the ligament/tendons usually do the stabilisation. Usually popped some Ibuprofen - I'd say I was back to normal in a couple of months. Might be worth looking at finger training, Amazon has something like the FitBeast Grip Strength Trainer, Finger Exerciser - will gently work the forearm muscles and tendons (good for mountain biking anyway).
Mine has the EP6. It does have a little rattle when going DH and not pedaling. Its almost like the kickback engages with the motors bitepoint and thats where the noise comes from (on mine at least). I have another E-Bike with a Bosch and I like my EP6 way more (better motor noise, I like the power delivery more). I hope my rattle doesn't get worse!
Would love to hear the final cost of the upgrades to the t6e after upgrades. Loved the hi lo series. Always makes me debate if i should just buy it full spec or build it out and the t6e is so cheap that it makes me wonder!
Yeah I did the procedure with the 2 rotors in the caliper and pulled vaccuum on the caliper with a syringe. It helped the wondering bite point a lot, but not completely on the bike stand. I repeated it 5 times with no luck. I gave up and just rode the bike and it was gone once I got to the trail haha
@EvansMTBSaga I just heard about the pull a vacuum from the caliper I never did that I tried everything else and did vacuum from the lever but it seems like this might be the trick! Thank for the update im going to try that
@EvansMTBSaga hey Evan I got the trick that works finally! Bleed just the caliper leave the lever screw installed. First push the bleed block in then fill the caliper syringe 1/3 full and put it on like normal twist it open half a turn and pressurize the system once it fills firm pull a vacuum and watch all the air come out that was unable to get freed up any other way. Breaks are perfect now so it's just a hard caliper to bleed
Just got back into riding bikes after a 30 some year hiatus. Not a medical reason, just I forgot about having fun while adulting. Although I’ve already acquired an entry level hardtail, it would be awesome to upgrade. Not necessary though. Thanks for the free opportunity upgrade. Much appreciated.
I have that same ZEB Ultimate fork with the butter cups and the Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate air shock on my Kenevo. It’s impressive how good they are at absorbing absolutely everything and making even the roughest trails shredable. I would like to try a coil at some point, it sure looks great on there at the very least!
Not a big fan of the air suspension system on my Moterra. All of the dirt bikes and previous mountain bikes I've had have all been coil sprung. The Moterra seems very stiff to start in its travel, yet it'll still reach bottoming with above moderate riding (but nothing very hard as in big landings). This is especially odd since the rear suspension linkage is obviously a rising rate linkage. The forks might be suffering from stiction problems. Been thinking of getting the reaming tool to try clearing that up. But, the shock is also the same. Since it's air, I'm stuck with a "spring rate", defined by the geometry inside the air chamber. It's not a deal killer, since the bike still is good for what I do. But, the forks would be a smart place to improve, as those loads go more through the handlebars, and I'd like to clean that up. I cut through the vid, skipping the installation of the shock, so I might've missed it....what's your damping adjustments available on that shock? Damping tuning is huge in how a shock or fork behaves.
Coils are just simple and better suspension, you rarely see anything else on a dirtbike. Sorry, your thumb is still bothering you, You might try moving the levers around a bit and find a range that works out better. When I was a kid, I broke my arm, and when I reached for my controller, the cast kept it out of reach from my fingers. so I had to adapt. I learned to rotate my arm and use my fingers for the buttons. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome! It will get better with time.
Couple of things to help your thumb and braking having had a wrist injury myself. Ergon grips suck for putting those forces into your palms, great when you've got good hands, bad when you don't, I miss them but my wrist doesn't. For a while I was using ESI chunky grips which were good but as they were friction fit you can't just take them on and off and they hated thorns. I'd tried Rev grips but they didn't work for me, cushioned from the vibration they may be but the foam around the inserts was very thin ( given the insert is bigger ) which was my problem with pressure. I've now got ODI Dreadlocks which are the perfect blend of grip, control and softness where needed, no more pain when riding. I've also ended up on Hope Brakes as I couldn't get on with the force needed on my G2's for the constant rear trailbraking I have a habit of on runs. Shimano deore didn't give me the light on/off everyone goes on about but Tech4 levers are perfect, light and close to the bars for minimal finger stretch. For you it might be worth swapping to European braking with the rear on the left, you use it more often so more pressure on your right hand more often. Maybe bung AXS on the gears, just a easy located push button then rather than long lever pushes.
Good tips, I appreciate that! I love those Ergons for sure. Maybe I'll switch to the OneUp fat grips in the meantime. I've ridden 6 times now and today is the first day where I kinda forgot the thumb was injured which was awesome. Shifting hurts for sure, that new AXS shifter would help a lot

I just swapped from a Fox Float X to a Fox DHX2 coil on my ebike and it is night and day a better rear shock for a heavier mtb. The Float X was just too light weight for my riding on that bike.
I have a Fox Float shock, got it brand new and the can was overly tightened and slipped while I was trying to open it damaging the Schrader air valve, first Fox said it would cost $320! Luckily, I guess ended up giving me a deal on the eyelet and ended up costing me $236.

Dont the codes and mavens use the same fittings or is this another one of SRAMs incredible "we have 10,000 parts for no reason other than because we want to" issues?
I think they're the same parts, but you can't use a hose that's had dot fluid in it already
@@EvansMTBSaga Changing the fluid to make life difficult, very SRAM :D great vid as always by the way!
Make a new vid about the canyon spectral please
About the one I have? I do need to build that up
@@EvansMTBSaga yup. I bought one a month ago (the 150mil version) and i love it!
Just shimano di2 it if the motors compatiable its amazing
Yo Evan love this video glad to hear your healing great and back on the bike lets go!!! One question for you when i try to enter this sick giveaway it asks me for a promo code anyone know what it is can't find it thank you!
Yeah idk man. I've heard that from several people, but I don't even have the option to make a promo code. So I'll reach out to the raffle company and see what they say
@@EvansMTBSaga Thank you for letting me know good luck to everyone that was able to enter
Nice vids dude im inspired by you to work in a bike shop!
I’m only slightly upset you didn’t put red grips on that ebike… 😂😂
I thought that Ergon didnt make these in red! But commenters got me to check and they do! Will order ASAP!
Love your channel, great work!
Thanks Brian!
Aww man I live in India so I can't enter
Bpc157 my guy. For that thumb
Very clean bike man awesome
your cassette is worn out and thats why your new chain that has 0.0 wearout is skipping those gears
Dude I had no clue a cassette could get worn out like that. I checked it and its so bad. I got the GX cassette used in April and only used it for a month. I'm shocked. Maybe I'll be going for the fancy 8 speed SRAM cassette next
@@EvansMTBSaga only love mate
hella clean bike
Heck yeah man I agree. I love it. I got some fun builds coming up too!
@@EvansMTBSaga good ima be tuning in then😁
I entered to win the awesome T9!
Evan you should do 1000 pound big mtb brands video please. Pin???
Cheers
I really hope I win that polygon, I’ve been asking for one for forever
You should open for the whole world but shipping paid by the winner?
Import fees can be +$2000, more than the value of the bike
Put xx1 axs on it 😅
Thank you
Why not just use the same cable? They are both sram it shouldn't matter
