Nono, great vid! As soon as your AC kicked on I recognized the sound and thought this guy lives in AZ. So do I lol! Again, great vid, thanks for sharing!
Weber makes a Instant read thermometer. I got mine at Lowes today for $11. Haven’t tried it yet but it’s better than nothing. Keep up the videos. I’m getting a Weber Kettle Master Touch tomorrow so I need all the help I can get.
W Dudley thanks man I’m glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations on the new grill but get ready to be hooked lol. I’m definitely going to keep making the videos if people can learn something or just have fun watching these cooks like I do so please give me a follow I’m thinking of making some baby back ribs tomorrow using the 3-2-1 method which is a good method to use in your new kettle. I’ll check out that instant thermometer for sure because you can’t go wrong with $11. Have fun grilling.
Really enjoyed your vid. Only thing missin is a couple of smokin wood chunks to coat the inside of the grill. I just put together the same grill & am waiting for a couple accessories to install - BBQ Guru Weber Adapter for their Pit Bull Fan & a Thermometer and Probe Grommet. I’ve got a box of 4 different kinds of wood chunks I smoke with so I should be set up ready to go with the Slow N Sear. Looking forward to more especially using the cast iron pans. I’d like to know your technique on seasoning the cast iron. SUBSCRIBED!
Nice video, great info. I never thought about seasoning before...I'm picking up the same in a coupe of months but without the ignition system because I like to start the chimney with Haystacks or the Weber cube. I would really like a green of blue kettle but if you don't get the one with ignition you have to settle for black. And that's fine.
Yeah the ignition system is def not required the chimney works just fine but I will say it comes in handy on those days when I feel a little lazy. Lol Either way the cooks are going to be great.
Thanks for watching I’m in no way a pro I’m just a dad doing my best and staying busy. God bless and stay safe.

Get the searing grate… forget the slow n sear great video
I would recommend any thermoworks products for a temp probe. Their smoke is great
Thanks for posting this! Very cool!
Thank you for watching 👍🏼
Such a great video in so many ways.🤟🏼
Love Weber performers but you can’t season porcelain enamel.
Im gonna buy this exact grill next spring.
It’s awesome, you won’t regret it.
Nice video can’t wait to use mine

Awesome video, bro!
Thank you
i like the mandatory slow motion haha
that's my beer of choice as well! hah cheers
it takes quite a few turns to open the valve fully. Does it make a difference if you turn it all the way or not?
How long do you let it burn before you can cook on it thanks
What oil do you use at the start?
Can you cut off the air enough so that the coals die out?
Yes you can close the top and bottom vents and it will snuff out the coals. :)
How long did you season ?
Just let the charcoal finish so it’ll be a couple hours. You can also re-apply oil throughout.
@@nonoknows9459 thanks man I appreciate it and well wishes
There is absolutely no reason to season a Weber grill.
True, it’s not at all a requirement you can just let the coals burn off the packing oils and stuff before the first cook and it’ll be just fine.
Exactly right. No need for seasoning a new Weber grill.
The super loud banging makes this unwatchable
Sorry I’m not too skilled in editing, especially sound. Lol
Wow, what a curmudgeon!
