Like your enthusiasm! And I fully agree we need the Holy Spirit in our discipleship walk with Jesus. On the other hand going after supernatural experiences with God can be dangerous for young Christians who don't have good knowledge of the bible. Let us not forget the gifts of the Spirit, such as *discernment of spirits*, which is essential for recognizing truth from lies, parting real experiences with God from religious self satisfaction. Satan is a master of copying Gods movements and deceiving people in ways you would not expect. Be vigilant in your walk with God, read the bible every day, but also KNOW YOUR ENEMY... "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them." Ephesians 5,11
i saw sleeping giant last night at scream the prayer. i gotta say, when tommy started preaching, something inside me lit up and i could definitely feel the presence of Jesus Christ.
Such a passionate person in his relationship with Jesus I really enjoyed listening to him speak about this and I prayed after and am reading my Bible and Jesus is so good and I am blessed to have heard this and seen God using this man for the glory of his kingdom glory to God I was raised in church but it never took and i didn't like how church was it turned me away honestly but god didnt give up on me two months ago I gave myself to the lord truly born again and I found a church where God is truly moving and spiritually feeding his people and now that I'm born again and just beginning my walk with jesus I have a love for the lord that just keeps growing and I have felt the holy spirit in me and its the best feeling in the world I got saved and after battling for years with alcohol I was a bad alcoholic and now im sober completely don't want it don't need it I was delivered by God he broke the chain of addiction he took the anger and pain in my heart away and filled me with love and peace and joy and I'm truly changed by grace and Jesus is my rock and I can't get enough of Jesus glory to God if he can save a sinner like me and show me love and forgiveness and give me true joy and happiness and fill my heart with love and peace when I was so empty and dead inside before him then there's nothing that God can't do glory to you God to you goes all the glory hallelujah amen

good video! I remember my first heveanly, holy spirit experience. God told me that I was beautiful. It was like during prayer, I said out loud, Jesus what do you think of me. I waited in silence for a bit, then like a bomb, the phrase 'you are beautiful' exploded in my head. It was the most awesome thing ever. it was like, boom! out of no where this thought/voice came and I just knew this was him, God speaking to me directly! It was so great! =D

Ok so i just watched this and after it was over i just prayed and keeped praying. I dont know how to say it but as i was praying a flash of light came apon me and its was the most oddest feeling ive ever had and at the sametime it felt like someone was touching me (im in my room alone). Ill back track alittle ive been having questions like do i love God and such and after this like it was boom you do and now i get it. I love God so much. Im still shaking after this ive never felt like this ever.

He died on the cross, took the punishment we all deserved, and rose from the dead with complete victory over satan and sin. He has offered us Heaven, offered us Himself, offered us His perfect love and salvation.
Sometimes basic things like this are more than important, and more useful than high level and very detailed preaching. But I guess that's god, not the people. Just amazing what I got... I was going to sleep but I had to watch this.

In Tommy's book "religio-cide", he states that "we should try to be like Jesus. Not our youth pastor, oryour peers, or anyone else other than Jesus. He is the standard, and we are called to be like Him." This isn't word for word, but it is very close to his words. I encourage everyone who watches this video to read his book. It will change something about your sight.
Actually no one can ever be "wrong" in God when they follow the same God. There are just many different sermons than others, some people may not like Tommy's sermons, that's cool! but Tommy isn't wrong, he just may be saying something you don't like, but it gives you no reason to judge, you don't need to watch it? or just ignore it?

What Tommy Green is proposing here is VERY dangerous. I am and Eastern Orthodox Christian, and we have monks, called hesychasts, who have frequent mystical experiences with God, angels, saints, and the uncreated light. Is a beautiful, godly, and incredible thing, but the practice of hesychasm has had centuries of discipline and practice to get it right. Opening oneself up to the spiritual realities is very dangerous for those who have not recieved the proper discipline, and have not been under the care and authority of an experienced spiritual father (i.e. an experienced priest-monk) because when the door is open to spiritual realities, it also not open to the good spirits, but also the evil spirits. We do not even allow deacons, priests, nor bishops to undertake hesychasm without the proper discipline and precautions. It is not something to take lightly, and what Tommy Green does here is encourage people to play with fire. Friends, if you are interested in mystical experiences, and the spiritual realities of the God's creation, please visit a local Orthodox parish and attend a divine liturgy, and perhaps speak with a priest. Please, I beg you, from the bottom of my heart, do not attempt what Tommy Green has proposed here. God bless.

In Tommy's book "religio-cide", he states that "we should try to be like Jesus. Not our youth pastor, oryour peers, or anyone else other than Jesus. He is the standard, and we are called to be like Him." This isn't word for word, but it is very close to his words. I encourage everyone who watches this video to read his book. It will change something about your sight.

Actually no one can ever be "wrong" in God when they follow the same God. There are just many different sermons than others, some people may not like Tommy's sermons, that's cool! but Tommy isn't wrong, he just may be saying something you don't like, but it gives you no reason to judge, you don't need to watch it? or just ignore it?

(continued). Romans 10:9-10 basically says to confess, speak with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart, know in your heart that Jesus is savior and rose from the grave. It is really like an engagement proposal as Tommy said. Jesus desires you. His heart is bursting with love for you. Song of Solomon, while it is a story, represents Jesus' love for us. He says in Heb 13:5 "I will never leave you. I will never forsake you." That is a promise you can bank on.

not sure about WOA, but I know Jake personally and he's not the "spirit-filled" type of guy. He's cool with it of course, but he's not into preaching about being more experiential and spirit-filled. Jake likes to let his testimony and music speak for itself.

What Tommy Green is proposing here is VERY dangerous.
I am and Eastern Orthodox Christian, and we have monks, called hesychasts, who have frequent mystical experiences with God, angels, saints, and the uncreated light. Is a beautiful, godly, and incredible thing, but the practice of hesychasm has had centuries of discipline and practice to get it right. Opening oneself up to the spiritual realities is very dangerous for those who have not recieved the proper discipline, and have not been under the care and authority of an experienced spiritual father (i.e. an experienced priest-monk) because when the door is open to spiritual realities, it also not open to the good spirits, but also the evil spirits. We do not even allow deacons, priests, nor bishops to undertake hesychasm without the proper discipline and precautions. It is not something to take lightly, and what Tommy Green does here is encourage people to play with fire.
Friends, if you are interested in mystical experiences, and the spiritual realities of the God's creation, please visit a local Orthodox parish and attend a divine liturgy, and perhaps speak with a priest. Please, I beg you, from the bottom of my heart, do not attempt what Tommy Green has proposed here.
