Thank you so much! You fill the void between amateur and professional knowledge. I am an interpreter, and I might expand my topics to aviation. This lays such a good foundation for me. Love it!
Dose the bypass section have variable rear faps to also control bypass air flow or is it air going just straight in straight out adding to overall pressure coming out of the rear of the engine???and what's the real name for the jet engine ignition system??is that whats popping and banging when you hear it on jet engines as it cuts in and out?
A good start. Lots of aspects not covered -Lubrication, cooling, services, starting, Ice and rain , inlet flow distortion, Guide vanes, bleed air, Engine Ratings, FADECS and other controls, and Autothrottle, theres a few more modes nowadays ... There;s an outline for the next edition
Yes sir. Thank you for the outline. Just wanted to stick to the basics in this video. I will make a more detailed video, on the aspects you mentioned, soon.

Those aspects are not even remotely necessary for getting a basic "Understanding of Turbofan engines" as mentioned in the title.
He's not writing a book here. He will make more than you know from googling. Keep patience as a pseudo aviator and keep watching.
Dumb Question: Can a turbofan engine be completely electric if you had a battery source that could theoritically power it?
It would not be called a turbo fan. It would a propeller with an electric motor!
Where do you live?
from India!
