Just moved onto the shores of Lake Scugog, am brand new to the area. Love fishing, and I love this video you did! Kudos. I don't have a boat yet, so only shore fishing. Any recommendations on a group online or offline I can join to maybe go out with some folks to do some fishing on a boat with em? Peace! - A
Hey Coop what boat launch do you use? Been there 50 times love it!!. Last time I was there (2020) I launched out of Scugog Island Marina ( my old usual spot) ....lost my trailer axel there $1500 repairs.. I will NEVER EVER go back. Love the clip!!!
Cooper Gallant used a similar bucktail setup last week in the leech lake area, raised a ton of fish and boated a 46 and a 40. my hand perpetually feels like it’s reeling that bucktail still😂
could you tell me where to fish for musky on scugog i just got some musky gear to catch my first muskie and my grandpa was saying how good scugog was but now they're hard to catch so you could maybe provide some information where to catch them
Perhaps this is an opportunity to describe to the public that there is a list of release tools required to fish these animals. #1 would be a net. A guy targeting muskies on TH-cam with another well known fisherman such as Brent Bocheck should certainly be ashamed of himself for not bringing a net. Shame on you bud. Shame on your brand and your sponsers too. Dont fish for these animals if you dont know how to release them safely.
Catching beasts on old Scuuugs. Thanks for sharing your adventures Coop!
Thanks for following along man!
I caught 2 huge Muskie ice fishing few years back now. Love scugog great fishing there. Great vid
Wicked video! Ontario proud!
Our go to fishing lake from Toronto...consistently catches bass and panfish.
Lake Scugog definitely has some serious beasts in there great video and great fishing.
At muskie opener and Nov, the river is always very good spot.
Right on man

My pb musky is from scugog
I stopped watching the news, i thought Ontario closed the fishing season?
Get into any pickerels?
Walleye is closed on Scugog.
@@VinceTripp yes I know, I meant did he accidentally get into any pickerel while musky fishing, I know it wasn't his target species
I'm interested to know if they are making a comeback.. anyone accidentally hook into any?
@@craigthomson9395 I'm very interested as well
@@ronzbee3458 I spend a lot of time on Scugog, in the past 2 years we've only caught one incidental walleye. It's sad.

It is far more safe for a smaller musky to be grabbed, hook out and popped back in the water than to slash around and get tangled up in a big net.
@@coopergallantfishing2186 right? This guy Is just jealous cause he cant catch one himself
