Also found the lucid 2inch topper to be pretty nice
yeah lucid is not bad but its just a little soft. For the price it is not bad.

Fragrances are great especially if its Lavender to help with relaxing sleep. But I do agree the egg shell or wavy cut out is a minus.
i hate them since they seem to irritate me.
Think you guys need to at least sleep on one per week and come back with results. Not a fair test to lay on it for a few minutes. Analogy.... Like a pair of new shoes that may feel good at first then rub blisters a few days later....
Good points. We didn't mention this in the video but we have reviewed a lot of similar toppers and came to the conclusion that all of the cheap ones are basically the same. The nicer ones like Puffy are actually very nice and we sleep on them the most.
Mattress toppers definitely work. They also definitely help with cooling if that's what it says it does. You just have to do your research and find what works best for you. There's so many to choose from, they're all unique in their own way.
Good to know! Typically the soft memory foam will trap heat because you will sink into it.
The bumps and patterns are used as extra cushion and support while still having a flat feeling on your back by simply flipping them upside down compared to how you tested them :)
yes the bumps are stupid I think since you can feel them. its not any better in my opinion it just looks softer with waves. 1 inch foam doesn't seem to matter to much other than a little softer and traps more heat.
Yeah, I think the egg crate toppers and toppers with texture like that are supposed to be the other way. You lay on the flat side was my understanding.
So glad I found you guys this helps me out so much lol im old school so all I ever new was egg crate toppers granted im a bit wierd I like that texture feeling 😅..but im older now so need better comfort...but not the sinking in and being hot ..thank you! for your honest review helps me come to quicker decision 😊 and your 🐈 🐈 and 🐕 are supper cute 😍 😍

Should've put a bed sheet on each one so she wouldn't have known it was 1 of the 3 cheaper toppers.
oh yeah i wanted to show people on camera. theyy are basically the same. the puffy and recci were nicer.
Testing the foam without the cover doesnt make sense. Its clear she doesnt like the toppers without at least a bed sheet.
We tried to show you the topper so you can see what it looks like. We don’t sleep like this but for a fun video it can show you what topper it is.
Yeah, makes sense to show it's a different topper, but the fact that she kept mentioning that she could feel it doens't have a cover makes the review pointless like you said.
Ruff topper has a cooling cover that works pretty nicely.
I'll check it out this is an interesting topic to me since we have a lot of stuff we review for sleeping.

Testing these with one individual, blind or not, isn't really a thorough test. If he did the test as well it'd be better... think of Goldilocks. But I appreciate the feedback on each of them that was still a bit helpful.
its hard to do a double blind but i could tell very easily most of them were very cheap and not great and only two o them were decent. overall, memory foam toppers are not that great it seems.

The better mattress topper are always too pricey but so is everything else. But it can help you sleep better. I like your dog

I wanted to show you what topper we were using. otherwise people would say we didn't change them or actually test them. They are basically the same i found out so it didn't matter other than the ones that were covered.

yes i have noticed they are all pretty much the same cheap foam. it seems less is more for these toppers and the encasement is a must so the foam doesn't shred.

I'm older with a serious back prob, I recently bought a prana mattress latex very firm, to firm, trying to offset the firm but not make it soft! Crazy right? Plz help me thx again, I'm leaning towards latex

I got the Lucid 4”. Very soft but has a chemical smell
yeah i hate that smell. Not all of them have that but only some of them for some reason.
not all ppl sleep on the back. so just lay on the back for 1mins, you will always give the "firm" one high rating. b/c you will feel more "support". so if add up a test with no topper, that might be 10 out of 10
well its just personal preference. Most of these foams were just too soft and they can trap heat.
Nice review. Wish you could do one on Tempur-pedicure, Saatva and Novafoam too.

yeah but in real life, no one uses them on the floor. We only use them on beds.
@@AM2PMReviews Actually many do put them on the floor as a mattress based on TH-cam searches. Some people get much needed pain relief from their low back this way. Eliminating the mattress altogether would give a true account of each new topper without any active assistance from the mattress.

I wouldn't double them up since they would be too squishy and trap heat. I would just get a thicker one if I wanted a thicker one.

We have a good mattress, but i recently purchased the 3" my pillow topper and it was too hard for my body. I had to return it. Im looking for something that supports my body but not too firm. Im a stomach sleeper. ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Hi Allyssa, I just sell them on OfferUp or Facebook Marketplace. They are long gone now. They are super affordable on Amazon.
you are comparing different toppers wtih different sizes. That is not fair. The 1.5 topper is definitely not as comfy as the 3" topper.
yes i basically just got every popular one on Amazon with different sizes too. We prefer the thinner ones and firmer ones. They all basically are the same overall except the puffy and the Recci. It seems that the foam quality is all the same on the cheap ones and it doens't matter if they are egg-crate or not, its all just mushy feeling.
I use to have a dreamfinity topper that I purchased in 2017 which I can’t find anymore, I just bought a bedstory topper and I hate it. It’s not hugging my body in the right places like my dreamfinity. Got any advice for me?

Impossible to test without the sheets over the toppers. You dont really feel the cut outs when the sheets are on.

Hey Wallace, we currently love the Ooler pad to keep us cool with the Nectar so we don't sleep with the Puffy topper but it is our favorite. I have not tried the casper or Layla toppers. Our Nectar bed is soft enough for us.
AM2PM Okay, thanks! My fiancée had her first night of sleep on the Nectar yesterday, I’ll be home soon from my deployment to try it out. She says it’s hard, but I think it’s cause she’s use to the gel topper on our last mattress. I told her give it some time to break in and adjust to it.

After multiple research I got a good deal on the lucid 2 inch memory foam gel topper for 44$ that was on sale normal price was 90$ I didn’t want to spend much because by the end of the year I do plan on getting another mattress I just needed a good deal topper because I was having back problems but I love y’alls channel and it really helped with my decision and in the future I will be getting the nectar mattress as well! I got a 2 inch recci from amazon, it came so thin I just can't imagine it getting to its advertised thickness. Its been out the package an hour and has to double at least. Is this normal ? Regards Peter

oh yeah the puffy one is great i think but they are all just foam so they will probably not last more than a few years. They will make any bed softer.
Toppers will never add support! If you have lower back or hip pain it means you need support. We can add it back to your mattress! 3 min install, no mattress surgery required.

nope. we sold the rest of the cheap ones and kept the puffy topper. We don't use it much since most toppers only really trap heat but if you had to pick one, try the puffy i think.
So, if you opened all the toppers, you definitely saw and felt them before "blind" testing them. 3rd party next time, and no leading the blind tester with special tones in your questions.
honestly they are basically all similar lol. the puffy was firmer though from what I remember. Sam thought the sam she was blinded
In conclusion, if you're looking to buy a mattress topper just buy a new mattress or buy all the toppers to put on top of your mattress for comfort with the same amount of money it would cost to buy a new mattress. If you are looking for toppers because of your mattress age, your mattress is going bad anyways!!!!!! Sucks but mattress don't last 10 years anymore, just like everything made now days. I'm just saying a mattress will last 2 years if lucky then off to buy a new one. Companies need to make money faster than every 10 years so just expect to be buying one every 2 to 3 years because that's our economy now. All about the buck well bucks now days. New mattress, I agree with some of the video, however if u had a sheet over so she couldn't feel the material maybe better for the video, also the thicker the better for a topper not cost.

i don't think they matter too much. Some toppers you will sink in more than others so if you do knock knees then you might notice it more. I think overall you will not have any issue.

Sorry! I don't think it matters. After years of reviewed them they are all basically the same cheap memory foam. They kind of make a bed softer but trap heat and sag. The puffy one is nicer with a firmer foam and a nice cover. I think overall they will help a little if you have an old bed but they are not really anything special.

Well i wanted to make a video with every topper i have tried or most toppers. Who has like 10 toppers at a time? Puffy is super nice but it is expensive. The rest of them are basically the same.

most of these are made in China. They are on Amazon and most things on there are based out of China. Foam is foam for the most part. You get what you pay for. That puffy is the best i think.
Amazon has great toppers actually! This review is horrible; they do a one minute test of her lying on her back when she’s a side-sleeper, end up ripping on every topper that isn’t $245, and then even suggest just buying a 8 or $900 mattress towards the end?! Gee, thanks! 👎🏻👎🏻
Yes most foam in our opinion is just cheap foam and won't solve any sleep problems. The foam rips easily and traps heat is is mostly too soft. We have tried a lot of toppers of the years and most of them are not good. Some of them are nice but most of them are not...a lot of people think a cheap topper will make their crappy bed feel amazing, but for the most part that is not true in our experience. Saving up for a nice new mattress is probably the way to go for another 5-10 years of real comfort.
YOU SHOULD HAVE 100% PUT A SHEET ON ALL OF THEM. SHE ALREADY KNEW WHICH ONES CAME WITH A COVER AND WHICH DIDN'T. SO THIS WAS ONE POOR REVIEW HUGE THUMBS DOWN
oh well it was just a fun video. they are all the same and cheap and the puffy was our favorite still. The rest we have sold. 1-3" cheap foam doesn't seem to do much.
