As I was born and raised - in part, there; videos like this fill me with a sense of pride! I'm glad that you have discovered some of the special places and enjoyed them enough to make return visits, as there's really lots of history and natural beauty to discover, for those who care to look. Unfortunately, the days of dressing up to go "doon the toon" are long gone and the local population now prefers to shop in the retail parks and supermarkets where you can park outside at any hour and minimise your need to walk outside, and parts of the traditional city centre are suffering in consequence - not least due to the failure of not a few of them to teach themselves their safe alcohol limits, and of course, as a wealthier place in the eyes of some, it does host a significant number of homeless individuals too. But as birds of a feather do have a tendency to flock together, it is usually still possible to avoid their favoured hang-outs, which rarely feature much of merit, anyway. The new museum together with the much enlarged art gallery - even if does include the permanent exhibition previously housed in the old waterworks rotunda, together with the political, musical, cultural and community events hosted around the concert halls and conference suites of Horse Cross and the associated Perth Theatre - whose main entrance is now on Mill Street to its rear, and is accessible to all - unlike the High Street stair corridor, together offer large numbers of special events, not to mention the monthly farmers' markets and festive markets occupying some of the more attractive streets, together offer resident and visitor much to return for - not to mention the various eateries that suit most pockets. Thank-you for promoting this frequently-overlooked city of such high importance in mediaeval Scotland.
That was absolutely delightful vlog! Thank you for taking the time to do that! It was sublime 😊 Just so enjoyable to watch. I hope everything goes well with your mum, and I look forward to hearing from you next month. Take care Shawna!

Another wonderful experience! Perth is very beautiful! Branklyn Garden is truly delightful! The walking paths & scenery is really lovely there. Just so peaceful & tranquil too! I also loved the wee Shops in Perth. The Charity Shops had some really nice things in there as well! However, I especially loved the shop Quince & Cook. It was amazing! So many really special & unique things. My favorite gift, which I loved, was the wee cushion that said 'I Believe In Naps.' LOL. That was so cute & funny! I loved it! That would have been the Gift that I would have loved to buy there. Indeed! Your Tea & scones looked delectable & served at such a cute wee place. I would have loved the cheese scone! I love scones too, especially cheese ones! Mmm! Scrumptious! Well, Shawna, this was another delightful interlude. Thank you for sharing it with us! Blessings to you!
I sometimes drive past there when I've had to stop in Perth for petrol on the way to work in Dundee. I had no idea Branklyn existed! Love your videos Shawna 🙂

Lovely vlog. Really laughed at the cushion…I believe in naps..😂 The garden and cafe deserved the praise. Keep safe. C.
My husband's relatives own the petrol station on the Isle of Brute. Hope to visit them from Australia one day, so looking forward to a sneek preview from you. Thanks for the recommendation to visit Perth - looks lovely. ❤
And dinna forget to visit the excellent Black Watch (Regiment that is not a time piece!) museum. Also there is an excellent gift shop and coffee and tea and lunch place there too.🇨🇦🏴
Lovely vlog, thank you Shawna
