WOW, you are amazing to do all of that work and then tow the camper out west with no experience with Travel trailers. I follow Catherine Gregory also and you two give me courage to learn how to tow my Geo Pro. Looking forward to seeing your remodel and adventures……. Be Safe & Have Fun!
Solid choice on tow vehicle. Those Tundras may not have all the latest tech that other newer trucks have but they last forever! It's been a minute since I've been on YT I guess because last time I saw one of your videos you were still in a van. Excited for this new chapter in your life! Good luck and make great memories out there in the new rig!
So glad you’re back 🤗 You did so much in such a short time too! You look so happy and that’s what matters. I bet the pups are loving the space too 🤗Can’t wait to see Arizona! ❤
Well done! You may struggle to get renovations done, but you are a clever woman who figures things out, and you have a lot of guts!! Hope you have a lot of fun!!! ❤ From South Africa
My wife and I just did our first RV trip, with a rental, and it was a lot of work. Travel time, packing up, getting set up, dealing with the dogs…. Tearing down, unpacking, washing everything….. Definitely, worth the time. But, more than expected. Enjoy!
Pretty sure it took me two hours to install the exact same lock. 😂 Mine didn’t quite fit right, for unknown reasons. But it’s absolutely one of the best upgrades I made. And girl, all the credit in the world for tackling so much in such a short time…and then for taking the time you needed for yourself to settle into such a big change. Looking forward to next week!
As someone who is currently building out a shuttle bus, I can understand why you didn't film it. Can't wait to see the tour once your renovation is complete. It's nice to see that smile on your face and the excitement in your voice again!
Hi Erica, Penny, and Charlie. Hope all is well. There is no need to apologize! We (your subscribers) are glad to see you and enjoy yourself. The important thing is that you, all, are safe, healthy, and happy! Everything else is manageable! Pops
As an amateur sunset chaser (and sunrises too when the opportunity strikes) I come for the sunsets and scenery -- but i stay for the voice over. I get a kick out of the writing! Out of curiosity, what criteria did you use for choosing the tundra? I'm debating the options between 2015-2018. Happy trails!
Haha thank you! Gotta throw in some self deprecating humor occasionally :) I was a Toyota girl long before the van so it was a no brainer for me. I wanted crew cab (more space for the dogs) 4x4 and “Toyota low” miles (bought it with 84k…for any other make, that’s a lot). That’s honestly all I cared about. The problem was availability! There were none around me and I was on a very tight schedule. I lucked out finding this one online! It also has a 5.7L engine and most of the Fords and Chevys were 5.0/5.3. Had to make sure it was strong enough to get me back to Colorado :)
@@girland2vandogs that's a great find! pickings are a bit slim here as well. I'm also looking for the 5.7, but with the smaller cab and slightly longer bed to either accommodate a four wheel camper pop up or pull an airstream my bro and i have (and need to put work in to get it roadworthy). Tracking down payload capacity for each specific truck is a bit of a drag. Sounds like you'll have plenty for colorado! can't wait to see you chronicle it!

Good video!
Thanks!
It looks good, your doing great. Now you can cook some beautiful meals lol you have a gas oven.
You handle each task like a pro! Have a great week! 😊
Are you going to talk about the pros and cons of driving a truck as opposed to the Van?
Since you didn't film, how about before and after pictures of the remodel?? 😊
Absolutely! I have a few more things I want to do before I give a full tour of the details but you’ll see most of it next week :)
You have to tell us how you locked yourself INSIDE the camper!! Was there alcohol involved?? ;)
