Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections, security forces are on high alert in Naxal-affected areas. Security heightened in Naxal-affected areas of Gadchiroli after the Kanker encounter. CRPF held a search operation in the area using drones, dog squads, and advanced equipment. After the Kanker encounter, Home Minister Amit Shah vowed to uproot Naxilasm from India. In Chhattisgarh, 29 Naxalites were gunned down by the security forces in Kanker encounter. A search operation was carried out in the area and huge amounts of arms, and ammunition were recovered.
