As a Moroccan, yes, they do not allow long hair for boys. Some schools do not even allow bangs and stuff, even for girls, they would always never let us make our hair like how we want, they expect us to only do braids. Even makeup. You can either wear hijab, or do braids and wear non-oversised clothes (not all schools but some of them).
I think it depends on each school, because at ours, we're allowed to bring our phones to school but we have to get a teachers permission to actually use them (and only for school stuff).

As a Moroccan, yes, they do not allow long hair for boys. Some schools do not even allow bangs and stuff, even for girls, they would always never let us make our hair like how we want, they expect us to only do braids. Even makeup. You can either wear hijab, or do braids and wear non-oversised clothes (not all schools but some of them).
But I'm a Moroccan boy and i have long hair and it's no problem
