The woman in the beginning is exactly who i want overseeing my emergency! So coordinated and on top of everything! Shes amazing!
That’s Chris. She’s an incredible consultant, originally from NZ. She’s meticulously organised & efficient but, if you see her in a few episodes, you learn she’s very empathetic & kind. She’s an amazing doctor & I agree that, if I were deathly ill, I’d want a Chris overseeing my care!
She is sharp
I see it slightly differently. See my comment 😕
For a second, I thought you were talking about the lady with the hot water jug who was about to crack her window!
She really hows how to handle controlled chaos that is dealing with a trauma patient
I love the fish bone man. The nurse was great - she was so patient and understanding.
But that male Dr was horrible...loved the nurse.
You could tell he was trying his best to hold still and not make noise, I think his phobia he had towards the needle was what made the experience worse for him.
@@tamaradilksStampinUpAUS Yeah, saying "How did you manage...?" isn't the best way to approach a patient.
I love you too 😂cute
He was a Wussy! My Son when around 5 or so always seemed to get his head cut open sometimes in the Funniest ways But he was Tough he didn't have the numbing needle just laid back and got however many stitches he required he was an Expert on getting Stitches he'd Laugh rather than Cry it still Amazes me how tough he was even when he got Appendicitis he hardly complained to the point I didn't even think he Was in Pain. This man needs lesson's in Toughness and how Not to carry on tho maybe he acted out cus he had a Female attending to him and stopped being a Wuss in front of a male Dr !!???
"Love is a reflex" - I love that.
It’s always the tough men that are the ones that have issues with needles. 😂
I was looking for this Weldone oo ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😊😊😊😊
It's so funny to me😂
You mean "tough" 😂😅
Of course. Because if someone feels the need to try to let everyone know they're tough it's a good sign that they're either very worried about how people see them or very worried about whether they're tough. The louder a man tells you he's tough...
Men are worse then children
Thank you for always having subtitles!! I am a hearing specialist, More people than you think cannot live without it, especially in another language.
TH-cam's auto-generated captions are actually remarkably unhelpful
I’m deaf. Thank you so much
I am the granddaughter of a Brit, daughter of a hearing-impaired parent, and I teach language and ESL. It is difficult to understand absolutely everyone in another culture (I don't always understand my native-born students) and I also very much appreciate the subtitles.
I think they are great!@@cyt0skeleton934
I use subtitles everyday. The language accent that these Brits have is hard to understand at times. 😊
Wow the woman in the beginning who leads the trauma team is OUTSTANDING! I wish all were that way! So calm and has everything so well organized and makes sure it’s all ready to go. Amazing. She’s a true hero.
Emergency Personnel tend to be pretty unflappable/chill! I worked EMS and then Nursing for years.........I don't tend to get very excited if someone bleeding or hurt.....just focus on what needs to be done- in correct sequence and DO IT......get ON with it already
@@shannonobrien9922
I'm a retired ICU nurse and pretty unflappable too. We were required to take trauma nurse training every 4 years and pass Advanced Cardiac Life Support every 2 years. We each were required to assume the role of team leader in a code situation and we all learned to take direction from a team leader. Hahaha, this bled over into my personal life when in any type of of emergency, I would become very calm and VERY directive. Some non nursing friends and family just didn't understand this .
Have seen her on other episodes. She’s amazing.
@karenshadle365 I had to stop working Healthcare in 2008 I had a micro discectomy and called the neurosurgeon office EVERY DAY BAWLING....I had undiagnosed Caudal Equina! For THREE WEEKS! It's actually a miracle that I improved to my current condition but I miss Emergency Medicine!!!!!!! I'm in Iowa and the hyperbaric chambers here are staffed by Paramedic Specialists as they're uses to running any situation that arises alone! We also are REQUIRED to demonstrate Jaws of Life capabilities for licensure
Absolutely that's the team I would want taking care of me!
I like how it’s clearly identified who is in charge and everyone follows direction.
They cannot possibly operate any other way
The consultant in charge was excellent, so organized. Felt badly for the young woman with the allergic reaction. The motor bike accident victim was in such bad shape.
Dr. Chris rocks. I've seen a couple of episodes with her as lead consultant. She's empathetic with patients but no nonsense at the same time.
The lady in red is great! She keeps things focused and gives a sense of determined calmness. God bless all who dedicate their careers to helping others. ❤️🙏👍
Guy gets a fishbone in his finger and reevaluates his whole life up until then like it’s all about to come to an end 😂😂😂
That Dr. Chris (Lady in Red ) is so Awesome!!!!
This makes me appreciate how precious and fragile life is. Things can change in an instant. Thank God for the doctors, nurses and other medical support staff that help us in our most vulnerable times. 🙏🏻
I would not have given her baby wipes , a warm wash cloth will do and stop it from stinging. Not “hopefully you’re not allergic to wipes too.” 🙄
Really! I wouldn’t have accepted those wipes. Like you said a warm washcloth would have been just fine & been more soothing to her very red, swollen face.
@@judyoneal7887 I’m glad you agree,
I’m an aspiring nurse and will push to do initiatives like this for the comfort of my patients.
What about a cool cloth? That's what I remember mom using. Is that not a good idea?
A cool wash cloth.
@@patriciaroysdon9540 Sure, that would be fine. Anything but a wipe with chemicals on it.
The consultant Dr. Chris was so awesome with the guy who was in the motorcycle versus car 🚗 accident. She was so calm.
I love this series ❤️ 🇨🇦 i love the nurse trying to get the fish bone out of the gentleman's finger😂its cute how anxious he is.❤
He was afraid of the needles
He seems to be a guy who is able to tell his faults. I noticed he could hold the newspaper but not her touch. I hope he found love again.
It’s very interesting that the second doctor was questioning how he could get a fish bone into his finger. Now that Dr is educated that that can happen but it seemed that his questions were somewhat unprofessional.
@@jeannerountree952 At the end, they said that he was newly engaged. 💍
Wow Gary’s life isn’t going to be the same after that, but thank God he lived.
I thought he was a goner, they kept referring to him in the past tense >.
@@109367same! it was really confusing
Love the whole trauma team thing . Reminds me of my RN days before I retired.
The man with the fishbone in his finger was so sweet!! 😊
That Jamaican 😂man had me in tears 😂😂😂if he don't let that lady take that bone out 😂😂 his finger
7:32 bro I started laughing so hard thinking that bro had the longest fart ever but stopped after realizing that he was in pain. 🗿
wow! This had me in tears. So enlightening to see what these folks go through and how they work together to save lives. Thanks so much for this video.
I was put in the hospital for low blood pressure. I’ve been watching your videos long before.
I put those nurses I had against y’all. I was scared for me being in ICU.
The nurses in the ER went above and beyond.
The nurses I had in ICU were really awesome. They stayed on me to get my blood pressure back up like it needs to be.
The nursing staff at the floor I was put on was really bad.
But I’m alive that’s what matters.
@lauraramand
From a retired long time ICU nurse, I sincerely thank you. Most people don't know what ICU nurses really do. Oh so much more than bed baths and bed pans! But patients and their family members figure it out pretty quickly. Thanks again.
Thank you from a retired ICU nurse! Many people don't realize exactly what we do unless they've been a patient or have a family member in the ICU. Then they realize we do WAY more than just bed baths and bedpans, lol.
Again, I really appreciate your comment
Oh my goodness! I used to sing that at work all the time!
"Show me the way to go home, I'm tired and I want to go to bed. I had a little drink about an hour ago, and it went straight to my head!"
Jaws😊the movie

Reminds me of Jaws!

He's partially correct!
Do *not* pour hot water on any vehicle windows when they're frozen!
They will crack/break!
But you can use cold or lukewarm water, I'd say *barely* warm water.
It will get rid of the ice without having to scrape.
You’d think that would be common sense 😂
@@catherinepraus8635
You'd think!
Thanks for putting these up.
Dr Chris is an absolute boss.
love to watch this kind of people in action ..
Poor Steve. My husband is also terrified of needles. I wish I had been there for him to lean into my side.
Bless his heart, the guy with the fish bone in his hand cooking for his lady friend. I hope she appreciates his efforts. ❤
I'm from the US. Calling them 'Sisters' and 'Consultants' is so foriegn to me. We have Doctors and Nurses. 😊
Thank you for sharing the stories, it’s a learning opportunity but most importantly-I wish all speedy recovery ❤
What's wonderful about their system is that no one goes home with a six figure bill after being in hospital like my country, the U.S.
Absolutely amazing!
Oats are often contaminated with wheat which she is allergic to.
Poor gal, she looked really miserable and her eyes were swollen shut, good thing she went to A&E. I’m glad my allergies only result in sneezing and stuffy nose. It’s uncomfortable, but not life threatening!
Ohh that makes sense
I’m curious if she has MCAS. All of a sudden you have a list of new allergies. A tomato almost closed off my throat one day out of the blue. Hormonal shift, virus or trauma can set it off. Poor baby. She looked so miserable.
The doctor brought over about the fish bone was awful. I'm pretty sure he was accusing the man of lying about the injury to drug seek. That's why he was so focused on how it happened instead of helping. Terrible behavior for a professional.
I agree it seemed rude but I also think it partially making conversation.
Should give the doctor some grace though, imagine how long his shift has been by that point he seemed tired.
He didn’t seem rude at all to me.
He asked a simple question. That's not being rude at all. I thought the guy with the fish bone was completely rude to the doctor.
Sandy and Terry are so funny😂 they’re definitely making the most of the time they have left together!
Steve! Take deep breaths. Don't look at it at all. Count to 100 slowly! Poor anxious guy...
I live in the country in Utah.
I used to have horses. Most of our neighbors have horses. Anytime you deal with horses, you can get hurt. Sometimes quite serious injuries.
We have a helicopter ambulance service called Life Flight.
You can become a member for $50. Per year.
Most people with horses are members just in case that one time you have a fall from your horse and can't get up.
Can you please adjust the voice of the dictator volume a bit It's kinda quiet for me
The young lady with the allergies knew she had an oat allergy but didn't bother to read the label on the face cream. She's going to have to begin carefully reading labels for all her products and foods--which no doubt seems like a lot of trouble and unfair business for somebody so young. I really wish her well for the future.
I love Steve. What a guy!
Wonderlike liefdesdiens wat jul doen baie dankie ❤
As an accomplished equestrian the young girl has some lovely writing skills and good core development
God bless all you people who help others. Galations chapter 6 verses 7 and 8.
The beautiful lady at the end said it all in one sentence laugh and the world laughs with you. 💕💕💕
A fish bone. That sounds like he has a tree in his finger 😂
Actually extremely painful 😢
@@Kbologna I had no idea a fish bone could hurt so much
@@deanawells4395 no worries
Bacteria as well as foreign organisms can cause pain very quickly! Grew up in west coast Florida and at 48 I know this can be a really painful experience. But women have a much higher pain tolerance 😉😉
@@Kbologna I did have a patient that I took care of that had multiple severe infections from a fish bone that got under his skin even though it was surgically removed and the wound cleaned surgically. He had a hard time getting the multiple infections year after year to heal.
Fish bone man is so lovely. Such a well spoken insightful man. I hope he finds a good woman. Hes deserving of one.
I haven't seen an anaphylaxis reaction like that... since I took Lyrica 😢
They put their gloves on 15 minutes in advance and then proceed to touch every surface around, one girl even touching her mouth! 😮
Why put on gloves if you are touching your hair, face and lips with them!??😮😮 eeewww
Absolutely!!!
Why watch the show if it makes you squeamish?
It's just theatre
As an accomplished equestrian the wife has some lovely riding skills and good core development ❤
Another damn repeat!!!
I’m inclined to agree. I enjoy rewatching these but, in truth, there are years of episodes on Channel 4, since these, that many of us can’t access. I wish Banjay would upload some of these!
Working in the medical field, foremost and critical is preventing cross contamination. Once you glove up, everything you touch is not sterile.......It was mindboggling how many of the medical staff broke the sterile chain after gloving up. Some were touching surfaces, and one girl even touching her mouth and face???
Jeeez the stress of watching this.. where I live the helis fly hot and land on the roof. Once they''re on the ER stretcher that ER doctor is just who you want guiding things.
Imagine what it feels like to them they don’t have the luxury of falling apart tell it’s as far as their ability goes very stressful job they’re heroes
Young man’s friend is not much of a friend
Maybe for the best he was manually farted alone 😂
He's disgusted with them being left to sit there while his friend is in pain. He figures one black man has better chances than two.
Subtitles are really bad. But the show is great😊
I’m not seeing any
“I can’t believe he put his finger in my bum” is the text message I should’ve not read 😅 38:50
I loved the "tell them to stop filming"/"I'm going to ask them to cut it". That went well. 😂
Right lol, I was soo invested
Gary and Terry are the manliest manly men in the history of manly, manly men. I adore how resilient Terry is, he’s bonkers, and that’s why he kept on keeping on, and what a lovely carer/friend to look after him as a promise to his brother Tom.
I genuinely thought we were going to lose Gary the way his sister continuously spoke of him in past tense, why do you do that? It’s truly cruel. I wish there was a law that says parents aren’t allowed to ride motorcycles! My neighbor, an 18 year old boy just had a baby with his girlfriend in March, and his insane mother, in the strangest flex I’ve ever seen posted a video of her CHILD riding a wheelie down a HIGHWAY at highway speeds. I was so disappointed in her leadership as a parent bragging that her son is doing his own stunts. 😮 how crazy, so that’s what I mean, I doubt Gary was doing extreme cycling tricks, but another friend buried their only child after he returned home from Afghanistan, was stationed in paradise, aka Hawaii, went to get donuts for his two little boys, a woman didn’t see him due to the sun being in her eyes, and pulled out, he was less than 8 feet away from her, so he hit her at almost 45 miles per hour. Survived WAR, and killed in an accident while bringing his two beautiful small children 3, and 5 years old a special treat. My ER doctor friend calls them “donor”cycles. Please really reconsider your approach to motor cycling, car vs flesh is a terrible combination. Mikes mother died only a year later, she never could pull herself out of the grief. I suspect she was abusing her pain medication (hydrocodone) I honestly don’t know if she actually had back pain, or if it was something like Fibromyalgia from grieving so hard. Her husband worked a late shift at his job, came home in the early morning hours, and she was unresponsive. Her liver was wrecked, she’d even gone to the ER 48 hours prior, but they sent her home, she’d been classified as a drug seeker unbeknownst to her husband, she would go when she ran out of her medication, and not always to the same hospital, he’d leave for work at 5:00pm, then she’d go, turns out she had gone to different hospitals 4-5 times over a few months before she passed. He only knew about the visit 48 hours before, and one other time. He did as much as he could even begging her to see a mental health professional, but she refused. I believe she’d still be here if their son was too. So I beg you to be as responsible as possible, pretend there’s a police officer right behind you, and use a lot of common sense, anyway…
🤔
5 min. 36 second the doctor looked at them and was like well im out 😂 y'all can stay
The background music is too LOUD!
I wonder how often these videos are repeated I watched these two weeks ago

You obviously have no idea what it's like to have hearing issues.
Are you always UNPLEASANT or is this a special occasion?
Really UNNECESSARY.
@sweetmissypetuniawilson9206 I do actually. I have some problems following shows without subtitles. And it's funny you feel my reply is unpleasant, because I was intentionally copying your way of speaking in your comment. My annoyance was with the way you speak, you are not this person's manager (even a manager would be more friendly). It's ok to give feedback but you should really work on your phrasing, you sound VERY demanding. And that on a free to watch bootlegged show on TH-cam.....

Part of it is our personalities. But the major part is experience and critical thinking skills. A new grad could not do this.

If I had a fishbone stuck in my finger it would be a completely different story for me. My family knows I’m batshit terrified of needles, and knowing this, my dad would have ‘a day in the park’ with this. (In reality he would be PISSED at me for getting a fishbone in my finger, mainly because I DON’T EAT FISH💀) depending on my mood and how old I am, this could go two ways. 1: I’ll just sit there and he’ll rip it out with pliers, or two, he’ll pin me down and rip it out with pliers. When I went to get my cast taken off the doctor got it about half cut down the sides and apparently it “was burning me” idk, I was like seven when this was happening. So my mom took me home, told my dad, and the next thing I know, he’s walking into the house with multiple types of pliers, he had a SAW, one of those pipe tighteners (I should know what there called. My dad taught me this) he takes two pliers and rips it off a bit, then he PULLS and he pulls HARD. It was basically off when I told him to stop, when he stopped I RAN. When I was in my room I proceeded to bite off the rest of the cast. (My molars are pointed, and have a dent in between the two sides of it sorta like this?? : : ( this “:” represents the points, and the space in the middle in where more enamel is supposed to be, but it’s just a divot) all my molars are like this! It essentially gives me two rows of sharp teeth. My dentist says it’s just fine, the divot is way bigger than normal, but my teeth are strong and have no signs of cracking or wtv. I also had REALLY sharp canines as a kid, I would put holes in things with just a little pressure. So they made it SUPER easy to chew off my cast.
I was an extremely weird kid💀💀 and the reason my dad did all that is cuz he was a alcy(alcoholic) he’s in rehab rn, so hopefully we won’t get into fights anymore.
