    Another great video. Straight forward info. I am in love with Sarafsa. That yacht is gorgeous. Just needs a proper paint and maroon or dark brandy colour is perfect with this yacht. I really hope Royal Romance finds a good home and money goes to Ukraine for infrastructure rebuild as soon as possible. Slava Ukraine

    So many people Buy yatchs but forget about the maintenance that is required. Its not cheap folks. This is why buying a Yatch is more then just buying it you still need to think about maitenance cost like taking the boat out of the water to do new checks and cleans, Repaint and engine tunes. I rather keep my lengths to 65 to 75 foot to keep cost down.

    The boat you refer to as looking bad, to my mind, it looks like the hull has been rubbed down ready for paint. This (damage) is just not likely from any form of wear. You can see the areas are where wear and tear has been prepped and rubbed back.

    We used to "roller paint" the hull of a boat I worked on. Done properly it can be almost as good as a spray job. Two teams of two on scaffold one above the other on a barge, one painter rolling paint on, the next guy brushing it out (tipping).

    • @kokomo9764

      @cbdoil4082 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It will depend on what type of paint, the item being painted, the temperature/humidity and air filtration. That being said, in that case, your wrong. No way is it going to look even close to a spray booth job.

    • @csjrogerson2377
      @csjrogerson2377 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kokomo9764 You are wrong. Roll and tip can look as good as a spray job, but it is harder to achieve and much quicker with a spray. Small jobs are often done onboard by R&T. Awlgrip is best, but harder to do if painting with Awlcraft 2000, so hard I would not recommend it as fish-eyes occur everywhere. If you can varnish and leave no brush lines, you cant R&T to the same finish.

  • @thomasborgsmidt9801
    @thomasborgsmidt9801 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hmm... selling those boats on auktion. Well that is one way of finding the real owners. Just like towing a vehicle and impounding it - tastes very much like basic police procedures. When your Ferrari is about to be handed off to the highest bidder then the money will report in to get it out of impound. That is when you get the banking connection.
    Now the problem is that Bitcoin is hardly a legal tender. And the owner with cronies are on the sanctions list - if not? They get there real quick.
    I told You that Ursula von der Leyen is on the case. Not that she wants the boat - which is a wothless "White Elephant" - her transportation need are very well served by her broomstick. Thank You, very much.
    I don't know if there is a connection:
    Danske Bank has reserved about 2 billion Euros on their third quater report for fines in connection with money laundering. The accountant of the bank probably asked the bank inspection as to the forseable size of the fine - and the bank manager suggested that the reservation was (at the time) around 0.2 billion. (Just me guessing - but ....).
    When the hysterical giggling on the other end died down the bank was told that they were not even close - off by a factor of at least 10.
    Now the bank in this connection seems to be Credit Suisse, but very much the same thing.
    The boat will probably be scrapped as it is pretty close to useless and the upkeep alone is enough to ruin the wealthiest.

      @diedampfbrasse98 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that would be stupid ... these deals syphon money away from those thugs and hostile economies. You really want those billions ending up in the russian or chinese economy? dont be daft
      Sanctions work best when you get the enemies wealth while only giving them useless stuff. Such a yacht wont help their military, wont help their political parties, the money it costs wont be invested into the russian industry and it wont help the common russian who supports russian aggression ... also such a yacht isnt an investment, its a constant black hole for money which loses value with every day it sits in the water.
      So why would you want to sanction a business which literally took wealth off russians for something pretty much useless and still demanding tons of cash of its owner day by day?
      If the west were smart it would support rich, corrupt russians bleeding their nation dry and spending it all on our economies.

    No sensible person would buy this yacht in an auction. Its actual legal status would be tied up in courts for years. Its (unlawful) seizure(!) breaks several international laws and treaties, and therefore so its subsequent sale.

    • @YachtReport
      @YachtReport  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s nothing illegal about the seizure. It went through the courts. Turns out if you take out a massive loan for a boat and don’t make any payments on said loan they take the boat. Who knew?
      FYI if your yacht was bought with a bank loan, you don’t own it until you pay off the loan.

    Re Ukraine...30% of the weapons donated to the country have been sold. Wonder where the proceeds of the yacht sale end up. Look into Zelensky / Panama papers. Do give them any money.

      Zelensky was wealthy way before he entered politics as he owned media production company that made hugely successful TV shows in both Russia & Ukraine. He doesn't need to steal any money.

      Sigh, another conspiracy theorist, of course wrong again.
      Allow me to correct you. Zelensky / Pandora Papers not Panama.
      A simple search in Wikipedia. Also explains his offshore involvement was pre-politics.
      As for the 30% of the weapons donated to the country have been sold was stated in early 2022 by a single NGO worker. Yes, a single NGO worker, just how would this person have such complete knowledge of all the numbers to make such a statement.
      I wish that people actually exercised their neurons instead of accepting crap as fact.

      @@philipmackin1025 Pandora was the second release…the ‘releases’ can both be referred to as Panama Papers.
      So you’re ok with the comedian Zelensky running on an anti-corruption ticket, despite having multiple undeclared offshore interests? Predating his election makes it worse.
      Ukraine is, and has been for some time, the most corrupt country in Europe, and by some margin.

      Ukraine is a money laundering scheme. USA has given $90 BILLION this year alone with proof that a large chumk of that $$ has been funneled back the the deomcrat party of the US.
      Documents have also proven Ukraine government official have bought vacation properties etc since the USA $$ has been sent there. Its a giant scam 🤬

    I love your channel! You do an excellent job disseminating the technical. There is something wrong about these Russians displaying their ill-gotten wealth for the world to see with their SuperYachts. Never in history has such a large group of criminals bragged about their wealth in such an overt way as these guys! Most of these boats are larger than many ships. It is an overt display of laundered money. All of these guys stole every dime they possess and are able to flaunt it while every country looks the other way. Only when they turned to murdering Ukrainians does it get anyone’s attention??!!
    All of these boats should confiscated and donated to the Cousteau society and force Russia to pay for their upkeep!!! That’s an idea👍
