I love how 2pac sampled Bobby Caldwell " What You Won't Do For Love". That is one of my favorite songs by him, 2pac is great at telling stories that he probably doesn't get credit for like Slick Rick, but he told a great story in this song, and it's something smooth but something to bob your head to at the same time. And something else Pac is good at is making songs people can relate too, songs like Keep Ya Head, Changes, Baby Dont Cry, Me Against The World, and Dear Mama. R.I P 2Pac

After January 1 1994, yea. Before that the sampling rules were way different. That’s why there are albums with like 6+ samples in one track (public enemy’s bomb squad etc) in the earlier days of rap. After 94 you had to start paying the og artists good to sample them

Dear mama. That sample from Joe Sample was the very first song I learned on the bass guitar at age 6 years old. My uncles were huge Crusaders fans. One uncle played piano, and the other guitar. They bought me a bass at 6, Joe Sample’s record came out at he same time. 1978.

The song is called (Fórmula Mágica da Paz) by Racionais Mc's. In English the name would be Magic Formula of Peace. Just hearing this beat makes me emotional, it's hard to hold back the tears!

Tupac the greatest to ever do it on the mike n off the mike he got bitches represented Thug life represented black ppl protect black ppl done multiple movies and albums look how young he died and so much accomplishments (From England wid love) WEST MIDS!!
I see people hating on Pac for the samples, but there are plenty of artists who have been doing the same thing for years.... What about lyrics, no recognition or credit for that? I mean, this guy and his producer did great covers and presented a bunch of songs that a lot of people hadn't heard before.
Quando um artista morre jovem fica aquele pensamento, quanta música boa ainda estava por vim , uma pena , e isso só engrandece ainda mais o artista que ele foi .
I recently found an old box filled with old magazines like word up from 96 and 97 with tupac on the front cover and other tupac memorabilia. Just listed some of the magazines on E Bay for anyone interested in original Pac related memorabilia from the 90s

Thanks bro. I just bought the Michael Namikas book, The Tupac Encyclopedia Volume 1. I highly recommend it to any real Pac fan. It's made by order so the print date in the back will be the day you order.
Had no idea about most of these. Mind = blown 🎉 kudos on the research and video 😎

So the guy they used the song sample for DEAR MAMA, name was joe “SAMPLE” . It’s like the guy was telling PAC to sample his song.
Keep Ya Head Up also sampled Be Alright from Zapp
I added that in a part two 👍
I see people hating on Pac for the samples, but there are plenty of artists who have been doing the same thing for years.... What about lyrics, no recognition or credit for that? I mean, this guy and his producer did great covers and presented a bunch of songs that a lot of people hadn't heard before.
That’s the “art of hip hop” is to sample music and rap to it… you can tell when people don’t educate themselves 🤦🏾♂️
I have a deeper respect appreciation for Tupac’s music now
I like all of these versions. Enjoy. Tupac Rep rap 2 the fullest. Gangsta paradise.🌴🥥🧉📻
Dont forget "Dope phiens Diner" ...Toms Diner. ..the song they invented mp3s out of...RIP THE GOAT #2PAC
This video clip got my mind made up

Rip Johnny J!!! Rip Roger Troutman! Rip Shock G
This is music.. real music 🎶
I only knew half of the songs that were sampled, I just love sampling in Hip hop
Please do public Enemy. They had madd samples on some of their songs🤷🏾♂️
I'll have to educate myself with some of there songs but I'll add it to the list
Them old skool tunes are the best.
Wowww thx alot
Okay, yes, but you totally glossed over the beautiful Zapp & Roger sample on "Keep Ya Head Up"
I'm sorry bro 😔 I just know the chorus from ooh child. I'm doing a part 2 and will probably include that sample in it
Ooh ooh yeah CONGRATULATIONS TO 2 PAC SAMPLES
