One of the most scariest movies I have ever seen as well. The more realistic the more terrifying which is the case with this one! They knew how to make these movies back in the 1970's. Having seen the movie more than once and, with the benefit of hindsight, one can see the subtle clues which later reveal the psychopath's identity. My mother used to live in the area where the filming was made. Just beautiful. Not so beautiful and (coincidental to this film?) is the fact that our most famous psychopath hospital is near to the filming locations as well!
Cool movie...so suspenful, when the blind girl hear's his boots coming when she is trying to hide....also her new horse is named Dandy Star, and the killer has a star on his boots. Cool stuff.
Amazed people found this very scary. It was written by Brian Clemens whose work is incredibly predictable. I guessed the killer early on and who would go back to the house where their entire family and staff member have been murdered to bathe in the tub the dead father was in? Diane Grayson as Sandy should have been given a bigger part? She looked so beautiful in this two years after the prime of miss Jean Brodie.
outstanding film, even with the yank title, better and more realistic than wait until dark, the film playing on the tv in the shop window is torture garden with burgess meredith and my favourite michael ripper
