The only barrier Hmong society make up are those that empower men and enslave women to believe women are powerless in their situation. Hmong Women for so long have believed they are what they are told to be, but today rises up the courageous inner voice that cannot be contained. I’m so sorry for not getting any support from your parents during your most sensitive needs. I have plenty of uncles/aunts who are like your parents- no support for the girls that are going through divorce. What I am most thankful for is my precious dad. He is the main supporter for his daughters. He realizes that he didn’t give his daughters away to be tortured, slaved or beaten up for any reason. Because of my fathers help, he was disliked by so many of his brothers, cousins and relatives because he is a supporter for his girls. I am so blessed for my fathers help, I will forever be indebted to my father for saving me from a life of pain, tortured and abuse. I’m so sorry for not getting any support from your parents during your most sensitive needs. I have plenty of uncles/aunts who are like your parents- no support for the girls that are going through divorce. What I am most thankful for is my precious dad. He is the main supporter for his daughters. He realizes that he didn’t give his daughters away to be tortured, slaved or beaten up for any reason. Because of my fathers help, he was disliked by so many of his brothers, cousins and relatives because he is a supporter for his girls. I am so blessed for my fathers help, I will forever be indebted to my father for saving me from a life of pain, tortured and abuse. I hope that our Hmong fathers will change to support their daughters like how my father supported me.
