Disco Dave's Styrene Mayhem lol, ok. I take it that you've built the kit. I will test fit everything.

I have been prepping 3 different AMT kits just for "fun"..... alignment pins are a little off, tank halves offset, molds need to be reworked. I have not built that particular kit, they seem to be equally fussy in the same areas.

I see. Ok, I'll be ready for it. I've certainly been through all that before. :)

Just subscribed to your channel, was interested when I seen the truck that you were going to do the preview on. I have built about fourteen big rigs, most of them are AMT kits. Now there are some builders that absolutely hate AMT big rig kits, they complain about the directions, and the parts not fitting properly and of course the flash. These kits have all been around for a while, the molds are getting old and not as crisp as we would like to see . It sounds like you are an experienced modeler, so I'm sure you will do fine. I built this kit about four months ago, it has got some issues with parts not fitting real well. The directions are not as clear as a Revel kit, or a Tamiya kit Mobius kits ect. The key to a good build Is when you build your frame make sure it's straight square and level. Use the grid on your cutting mat to square it up. If you take your time and get the frame right the rest of the build will go well. The other issue I had with this kit was the cab not wanting to mount on the frame and not wanting to tilt, it took a lot of work to get it right and some modification of parts. The other thing to with these older kits the release agent they use is pretty bad so I would advise to wash all your parts in dawn dish soap so when you paint your model you don't get frog eyes. You actually picked one of the easier big rigs to build for your first one. I just finished up the low boy trailer with the bulldozer combination kit. It had 545 parts that was a challenge. You will do fine just take your time and be patient. Good luck, looking forward to see how you do.

Nice kit review Mike. I just love the sound of those Detroit engines. This is going to be a fun group build and can't wait to get started.

Yep, a lot of those parts look familiar. Would love to get one of these. That chrome part in the middle of the warp is an exhaust frame. The muffler and stack mount to it.

Aha, I see. Sounds like between the two they should straighten each other out. Thanks.

Looks like a nice kit. 2 questions:
    What camera are you using?
What program are you using to edit your video? Thanks in advance.

I'm using the Canon Vixia HF G30 (Now called HF G40, but it's identical). And edited in Corel VideoStudio X7 (Now X10)

Wow, lots of unknown parts. lol. I'm not a big truck expert either. Just for your info, Hunter Selby did some tutorials on how to detail a big rig dash board a year or so ago if you want to check his archives.
