- Pretty much all the snow had already melted here in Turku, but winter had one more trick up it's sleeve. Early hours of Sunday 17.3, rain turned in to snow and it came down quite heavily with gusty winds. This should last couple of days, but we'll see if this was the last breath of this winter.

How many days of snow do you get per year?
This south-west corner of Finland, where I live, is the least snowy part of the country. The amount of snow here differs a lot from year to year. Nowadays in some winters we barely get any snow at all and other winters it may last for 4 months. Statistically we get permanent snow in early January and it thaws at the first half of March.
