Love sugar cane! We used to grow it in 2 acre plots on my parent"s farm down in north Florida where we also have a sugar mill and kettle house where we make cane syrup. Looking forward to you update videos on this sugar cane!
The Green Thumb Gardening Channel My dad use to bring home sugar cane sticks for my sister and me when we were kids. His friend from work grew it on his farm. Really cool that some people still do! And you are blessed to know the whole process of making syrup from it. Really special. 💕
Greetings Sheila and thank you! Yes as far back as I can remember, every year at least one of my family members has grown sugar cane in a plot of about 2 acres in a different field on the 83 acres of farmland down there and every fall we'd harvest the fields and haul it all to the mill on wagons to be run through the mill and the juice would be hauled to the kettle house and emptied into the huge kettle to be cooked using trees that we cut down on the farm. About a week long process to harvest two acres of cane, mill it, and cook it all down into syrup. Just subscribed to your channel, many blessings to you!
I love our bedder I used it for tomato’s beans and squash. If I hadn’t we would have lost at lest half from al the rain. Danny you’re bedder May need to come in more and turned in a little. It’s not throwing a enough dirt.

Danny, how long of a growing season does sugar cane require? Also, what temperature range does it do well with? Thanks so much for your time and effort you put in doing these videos for folks. I sure do appreciate them all!! God bless you guys!
I love listening to the birds singing in the morning... so peaceful to sit on the deck with a cup of coffee and absorb all the beautiful nature.
Danny finally wised up and bought a real machine! Way to go brother !
The cane is looking good. Hopefully this weather will straighten up, so everyone can get their gardens going.
