As someone who grew up in CT, but moved out for work, I'm glad to see UCONN football succeeding after a lengthy struggle
9-win season for Mora. He's completely revitalized the program.
A game like this helps them build a good case as to why they should play in a conference. I know the football program wants to play in the BIG 12, but they’re not ready for that. Going to the MAC would be much better for them. It’s good to see the UConn football program have some credibility again.

@nyd1998 Beggars can’t be choosers. MAC is in dire need of expansion, but are getting passed out by the likes of the Sun Belt because they’re being too picky. A program like UCONN would, not only give them more credibility, but also help them expand the map a bit. If they lose NIU to the Mountain West, the MAC might start changing their minds. I know what you’re saying, but UCONN would still be a great fit for the conference. They’re in desperate need of expansion.

Ct has some of the best athletes on the planet. Unfortunately the school systems fail to help recruiting players to college….

Travel would be an issue due to not having the $$$ like a ucla going to the big ten. If not the Big 12 or even acc, I would want them to maybe go to the mac but I think being independent may be better than that because you make your own schedule

UNC is on the verge of being a contender in their division so I can't see how Belichick would have any doubts with a school not known for being or having a succeful football program. I'd imagine many D players would love to play for him.

As a lifelong UCLA Bruin fan and friend of the late great Terry Donahue, congratulations Connecticut and to Jim Mora. Mora got pushed out at UCLA behind constant pressure from the know-it-all LA media. Just like Terry. The Huskies played hard and deserved the win. Mora has built excitement for Connecticut football. Good coach. Good school. Mora is a class act! UCLA's loss. 😮😢

I was at the game and UCOnn looked really good and had pep in their step. UNC looked flat. The UConn O & D lines dominated and their QB was pretty good. Both teams had close games with duke and Uconn lost to Wake and UNC beat wake so UNC seemed to have a slight edge on paper, but this game was not close.The score was deceiving. UNC ran back a kickoff and scored a late TD when the game was decided. Good crowd too, I would say about 75% full. Congrats to Uconn and Fenway!!!!

Too many unnecessary replays. We did not need to see if the runner stepped out of bounds on a return ultimately ruled a TD. Nor did we need to see three consecutive 10-yard runs from the losing team.

I doubt it. His son will not even be that great either. UNC is just not an ideal school for football talent even in the 90’s they were and have always been subpar. The proximity is great..in the middle of the north and the south with millions of high school players within a decent driving range to the school.....

Mack brown is a dud as a coach....he went 8-5 and 7-4 at texas many seasons...so he wasnt gonna win 10 ot 12 games at unc.....

ACC is a joke of a conference. 0-4 yesterday with 2 losses to G5 teams. 1-9 bowl record overall. I know people will say that bowl games don't mean much anymore but when you go 0-4 against G5 teams, your conference is weak.
The ACC getting fully exposed for the lousy conference it really is this season. 1-9 in their bowl games while the Big Ten & SEC have winning records. As do other conferences. Before you start making excuses, most every team has guys sitting out for one reason or another; at least non-CFP teams. And in there, the ACC got drubbed by a total of 76-34.
