I’m also on a book buying ban this year! My physical tbr now sits at 44 books, it was 60+ at the beginning of the year. My aim is to have a max of 15 books left on my tbr by the end of the year. I agree with you regarding the desire to buy books; it has worn off. I can go into a bookshop and just browse, and still have a great time!

I never had a tbr, then I found a bookclub and booktube and, well... :D I'm currently not buying many books as well, but working through the ones I havn't read yet. I'm down to seven now, so I might indulge in some bookshoping again soon :D
You inspired me to start my own book buying ban and to read books from my tbr! So far I’ve only bought a handful of books this year which is really good for me as I used to buy so many! It’s also very satisfying to see my big tbr slowly decrease. I’m currently reading The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods since you recommended it and so far I’m really enjoying it! I’m also buddy reading it with my best friend which is so fun🐣🌷💜
Your lip colour is absolutely gorgeous!! And yay for you for sticking to the book buying ban! I find for me that if I do a book buying restriction (cannot buy more then a certain amount per month) and that works really well for me! 🌼🐥
I totally know what you mean! I had to get rid of so many books when I moved, and now in Germany the english selection at stores is so limited, honestly it feels kind of freeing to have a smaller library and not be so focused on adding to it, even if it was by force haha.
I actually am on the opposite spectrum (sort of). Have not bought any books for a couple of years really. Only for my birthday and Sinterklaas. Mainly because of money. But now I have more money to spend so I have done that this year. Have bought 20 so far this year which feels like a lot haha. Most were from second hand shops. Probably will slow down a bit now haha. Need to read the books as well

I was living abroad the last two years so i was reading mostly on my kindle and only bought a couple of physical books because i wasn't sure if i was gonna stay in that country. Turns out, i came back to my home country a few months ago, with all of my old tbr still there lol So i'm trying to finish this one (i think it's around 75 books) before i leave for another country again :D I think i bought only two books since i came back, it's really hard but i try to stay on track ! :)
Thank you for your inspiration! Ive bought way to many books this year, havr not enough space for them! so I probably have around around 300 unread books by now. I'm going to count sll my books soon! There is two books I'm waiting for to get out in April and May, so I eill get them, but after that ive decided to have a bookban at least to september, maybe longer! I'm looking to move together with my boyfriend, and moving is expensive snd rent will be higher, so that is also a reason for me to keep it down, and go to the library instead!

I feel like a lot of people are cutting back on buying books lately. I am also on a sort of ban. I’m only getting stuff if I have a gift card, or if it’s an author that’s an absolute favorite and I’ll end up reading the book right away. It feels so much better than just adding a bunch of stuff to my library that I won’t touch for a few years anyway.
Is amazing that you have this determination, keep it going! lIn the last year I bought onl y second hand books, and of course there is no way I will read them all in one year time. Yes, we are addicted to buying books 😅. For me, buying audio books or ebooks is also another way of wasting money if I already have the physical book. I can't see the point of spending more money, even if is nice to have a variation. ❤❤❤
