- G'day all
In this video I target Bream on Surface lures and soft plastics. It was a calm morning with plenty of surface action around the weed edges. Enjoy the relaxing video, listen to the bird sounds and the drag of the reel.
Tight lines
Another great video, Thanks for posting.
Thanks mate 👍
Nice mate, got to love those clone prawns 👌🏽
Best soft plastics going around bud 👌
Well all this rains gonna stuff things up
Absolutely mate, I will head up to North Vic to chase cod for a while I think.
Best idea is reddies in West Vic and Kingies in Western Port
@@ynots0625 Lake Fayans and Rocklands are on list too mate
nicely done , how long do you think Coota takes to settle aftrer a big rain event
if it stays dry I would give it 2 weeks before I fish it again. Thanks mate
Sorry about your finger 😢
🤣 thanks mate, spikey little buggers
Good stuff, well done on surface. Just a quick question please. With the surface lure what is leader size and do you believe there is much difference between mono and fluro leaders? 16:10
Hi Geoff, in this video I was using 4lb fluorocarbon. I guess it depends if you want to twitch the lures down slightly. Mono floats and fluro sinks. I like to use fluro with bents because if the are finicky you can twitch them under the surface a little which entices the bite.
Thank you, much appreciated! I’m always a little sceptical about the preference for fluro ( although I always use it “ just incase”)
I am never sure if it’s purely a marketing device by manufactures to sell fluro at 3 times the price. I still buy it, but! I usually use minimum of 6lb because of the many flathead caught. And I have trouble attaching 4lb to braid with an FG knot as it breaks to easily but have found a triple surgeons knot works well. Thanks again take care! I’d be interested in your comment on the simple marketing fluro.
@@geoffreyjoy7364 Yeah I'm not sure on the fluro bud. I think if it gives you confidence that's a key thing as an angler. Also try the slim beauty knot, simple and I have never had issues when using light line leaders.
@@fishonbaby I have so much stuff I’ll never use ! What’s a bit extra for fluro. Take care thanks again, I’ll try slim beauty! Triple surgeons is from 50 plus years of fly fishin! Go well!
Which Millerod are using to cast the 1/28 and clone prawn with ? 2:15
