To me the issue with gecko moria is that the targets for him aren't the greatest. The Kuzan has a constant minus 5 until they remove it, if they even can.
I know its early and not really all that related to the video, but on the topic of the control vs tempo and kuzamaki vs moria, do you think that with the addition of better dressrossa 4 drops, like zoro, and the new topend, the blue rebecca and kyros, the tempo builds will get better? Or since blue rebecca is way more oriented to usopp rebecca leader will be still stuck more into the control style? I feel like i prefer the tempo style rather than the really control one, but it has always felt pretty hard to pull of at almost any meta after op05-6.
So stylistically the gecko build will become way more consistent than it is now. Zoro is the type of card that would allow Rebecca to abuse Gecko more comparably and possibly better than other black decks. As for 7 cost Rebecca that is going to be mainly an Usopp-only card. That being said, Usopp will be the better midrange deck between the two. His abilities are more suited to that style and his being able to attack helps with that, he will rely on stage even more than Rebecca to not lose the tempo, but you could arguably play him control-oriented and only swing with the leader when you don't have something else to play or you are trying to finish game. As for Rebecca in 10, I think a route that doesn't use either gecko, 7-cost Rebecca, or the Kuzamaki combos will be stronger than currently represented. You can run a nearly all Dressrosa build and theoretically to me that looks like the strongest option for her that no one is attempting because they overvalue how strong Gecko is, at least from my perspective. The consistency of leader ability and synergy of the new Dressrosa cards look like it would be a strong and unique way to play, with lost of combos and trash management. TLDR: Rebecca should be the stronger control deck in 10 and Usopp would be better for tempo, though both could play the other strategy with proper deck building.
@the_lord_nick i would assume usopp is the better tempo one since it gives you cards when they kill your units and that allows for more swings, but since rebecca can have that proactively while searching and fills trash feel way better to play, even at the cost of not swinging obv, but i assumed kuzamaki would still be the way since dressrosa lacks good trashing or bottom decking thos two would still be the way to go. Still prolly will play boths decks when op10 drops and just enjoy some dresrossa gaming. Thanks for the insight!
