    Also for anyone that doesnt know, adding translucent clay to any color is key when making realistic looking food pieces. From cake to candy & cookies to bread & even fruit. If you dont, your piece will have a cartoon like appearance.

      LitAfuseiCantStop Yes I often add the translucent!It makes it look better for sure!I added it to all my colours but I can’t remember if I said it .🤔

    I bet coating them in resin, specifically UV Resin which you can brush on & flash cure with a UV light, would give the candy a beautiful hard candy/glass like finish.

    Hi, loved the video! The instructions and being able to watch as you make the canes is great. Question.... how would I color the gumdrops and keep them translucent? Also, what do you use for "sugar"?

    I am just mesmerized by all of your videos. I find myself wanting to make the ice cream the cute little candies, and the chocolate Easter bunny decor. So festive. I am curious if you sell the items you make online or have another venue for the things you make? I feel like it would be so satisfying to make these things , but I can only make so much decor for my home, for gifts or the holidays for personal use.

      Thank you so much !I do sell some of my items,mostly Putz houses and I usually only sell local.Hopefully in the future I’ll have more time to build enough to ship out !I have a public Facebook page called The Pink Tree and I post items for sale on there at times .

      I actually don't bake them with the sticks!I make the whole for it then take it out,bake it then hot glue it back in!

      Thank you so much !If you haven’t opened the packages they should be fine I would say.I think the only thing about older clay is that it may get a little harder that’s all.

      Susan Cralley It’s best to store them on cool dry spaces.I store lots of my things in jars and containers!Some are stored here and there in cabinets in my home!

    You must have read my mind! I was at Michaels yesterday and bought some polymer clay to make candy for my Candy Land Christmas kitchen theme! You are a wonderful teacher and I'm so excited to see what you've done in this video today! Thanks for the awesome ideas! Quick question, have you ever made pieces of a gingerbread house, walls, roof etc. and then assembled them using Sculpey? Thanks again, Sandy from Ontario 😊

      Sandy Lavigne I started to work on a gingerbread house but haven’t finished any yet!I have a mold and I used clay but I decided to try plaster of Paris !Hopefully I can get it done this year .LOL I also plan to decorate a Putz house like a gingerbread house :)

      @@thepinktree3490 In the last few years I've bought different wood houses from Dollarama, $4 each, and painted and decorated them to look like gingerbread houses, each one is different and turned out really cute! I've been using latex acrylic caulking in the squeeze tube for snow and icicles. This way it's nice to have a gingerbread village that I can take out every year and add new pieces to it! 😊

      There is a quite a difference of texture between them!I like using both of them but if I’m looking for a more fluffier texture I go with the spackle!

      It is called a clay extruder and you can buy them from Amazon!

      Follow the directions on the package and I bake them for about 7 minutes .

    Dawn I made the suckers using the candy cane formula and the lollipop sticks and the sticks were too big. Any suggestions?

    Do you put the glitter on before or after you bake the gumdrops? Love all this fake candy! I’ve got to try it! I’ve done real cake decorating so I get what you mean about adding water to the spackle..consistency! Beautiful work!!!

    I love your videos...If I had to guess, I would say your a teacher! You explain things very well and at a good pace! Now, I use to model clay years ago, but I never could figure out how to prevent the flat shiny back on my little projects I baked. How do you prevent flat shiny backs on polymer clay creations and these little lollipops 🍭? 🙂 Thanks.

      No actually I worked for 22 years in a nursing home!I'm not sure if there is away to prevent that especially if they are baked!
