Got skunked this last weekend. But Blue fox spinners have treated me so well this year. I think they're a blast to fish with on these coastal rivers.

Good video - I never heard of Stryker Rods until now. They bought the old rod machines from Rogue Rods. I will tell them I learned about their rods from you. I'm going to get a couple rods from them, the 9'9" 8-14 and a 8'6" 12-25 for salmon. I am turned off by Lamiglas , that pulled out of Sportsman's and Cabelas and now only sells from their store in WA. I'm not too hot for G. Loomis cause I had a problem with a warranty issue on a rod way back. I'd buy an old used Lami or Loomis if I found one but Looks like I'm getting Stryker now. Thanks for the videos and tips.

We call Wiggle Warts that are black with silver sparkles "Michael Jackson's. Ok, you are answering my question right now, just like you could feel me writing it without yet posting. The Force is strong in you! I see the Chartreuse on the end of the blade. Looked like a #6 blade.And just to prove it wasnt a fluke the first time, Brian does it again! Teflon, Baby! When the cutties are sneaking eggs from redds, or hanging just below them, steelhead will chase them, even try to crush them in their mouths. It makes spinners very effective. Now those fish were fresh, but if they are seeing lots of smolts and sea-runs, it'll anger them. And one buzzing by their heads is all it takes in any event. Day 2, you're so casual in your declaration of a fish hooked. Zero chance? Naw, up to 2% chance for a normal human, I'd go 4% with you to hook him again, if you let him rest axbit. It's been awesome watching you fish on that beautiful 2 days! 3 chromers to the bank, and hooked a toad. Well done, good sir!

The little hatchery fish are like that mostly
Tell us you don't know how to make a point without saying it. Being from Washington, "our" hatchery fish are small, too. But basing the average size in either state on a couple days catch by one person is a sign you need to think things through better. The average size in this video is the smallest of the season for Automagic, I'd say, having watched all the videos Brian has graciously created. He has captured a lot of larger hatchery fish all season long, with a small smattering of those 4.2 pounders. He caught one he weighed hours later at well over 12 pounds. Certain rivers produce larger than average hatchery fish, based on selective spawning, or genetics that tell the fish to stay in the ocean feeding longer than normal. Broodstock hatchery fish created by spawning native fish can be very big, 20 pounds or larger. The Wilson and Nestucca are Broodstock rivers. In Washington, that practice, as far as i know, has been regrettedly discontinued years ago. The Sol Duc, Wynoochee, and Satsop are 3xamples of former broodstock rivers in Washington Your comparison between the 2 states is factually inaccurate. Class dismissed.
