Np at all (: And Much appreciated. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment ! I’m glad the video helped ya out a bit in your decision. I think the Lhotse is a def Win.
Great video, thanks for the comparison :). I have two Nuptse (one actual retro and one new retro) a Lhotse duster jacket which solves the problem of either of these two jackets being too short for you!! We had snow this morning and I was not worried at all.
Nice! That’s cool you have an actual retro one as well. They are really hot coats right now . I agree though, the Lhotse shines where the retro has issues. Really warm coat and no issues at all with the length. Appreciate the comment and support Gary!
Great video! I have 3 nuptse's and a diablo. I absolutely love all but my diablo is slightly longer and has enforced shoulders for a more durable feel!
Appreciate the comment Simone! Thanks so much🙏🏼 I have tried to find a Diablo but have never been able to track one down ha. I think the extra length and shoulders are a big plus as well. Really happy to hear you’re enjoying it!
Just grabbed up a brand new(dead stock) lhotse jacket in the summit gold color(2021 version) with the NF patch on the arm..same style in your video..alot better than the average nupste but lighter than my 94 retro himalayans 700 and vtg baltoro gore dryloft..its ok for 30 and 40 degree weather w hat and long johns...😅😅
After watching this video, I literally just bought one of these in porcelain green for an absolute steal, off the official website plus a 10% discount. £117 :) I went for size M. Hoping it fits perfect. I am 180cm, 94kg, chest 42”, waist 34”
Thanks for dropping and and leaving a comment Enrique! I agree, really great coat. The HMLYN too, out of their line both those coats don’t get as much attention. But I’m with you, amazing for cold freezing weather 🙌🏼 Be safe and well out there brother
Hey my friend, thank you for the kind words! Yes they are both the same in that regard - but stylistically the nuptse appears puffier due to its short and boxy shape. The lhotse is more long so it’s a smoother silhouette. Check out my video on the HYMLN, I think it’s a great mix between the two. Hope this helps!
I have this same jacket but in yellow I got it in sale yesterday 190 pound And I went to work at night shift since I work in chiller..this jacket is best its new design I love these jackets so warm
Hey brother! Thanks for both comments and taking the time to drop by (: Much appreciated 🙏🏼 I agree, super warm coat. Really great design as well. It’s between this and the HMLYN for me. As for the Nuptse...well, yea hah that ones tough. Just such a strange fitting coat. I’m glad you were happy with the size for you, that’s all that matters. It was a super popular one last year and this year so far. Tough to get. Be safe and well out there!
Hey mate, two years late but I recently bought this jacket and it came without the patch on the sleeve. Was wondering if you could let me know some details about it so I can try source one myself. Would be much appreciated, thanks!
I’d be curious how the steep tech puffer jacket compares to either one of these two. It’s got the same general shape as the Nuptse but with the asymmetrical zipper. Maybe a video idea? Great review BTW!
What's up Tony! Thanks for the suggestion - always open to trying to find new things (: I'll def take a look into snagging one from their steep tech line if I can find one. Appreciate you stopping by and dropping a comment!
@@Joshua88Graham absolutely! I ended up ordering one from BSTN shortly after my comment. From what I’ve read, it really is a Nuptse with a Steep Tech front, which I’m excited for! The only downside I see without having it in hand is that it doesn’t have those side pockets or a hood. Not deal breakers for me, but I’m curious about the length.
can you help me with size choice ? I am a little bit confused, because I've read a few comments on the TNF website that were saying this jacket is oversized and you should buy a size down, but here people are saying that they chose their ordinary size and it fits them perfectly. I am 183 cm, 80 kg and usually go for a Medium. Should I order S for this jacket exceptionally ?
Ahhh thanks for the love man! Truly appreciate the support and you liking and commenting. I hope you can snag a Nuptse and that you enjoy it as much as I do. They are crazy popular right now hah.
Hi Josh, great video! It's really helpful as I was looking for something a little longer than the Nuptse. I'm 194lbs, 43 inch chest, 6ft 1, 32 inch waste. What size do you think I should order the in the Lhotse? It looks like it runs quite big in size?
Hey Ben! So glad the video was helpful (: We are pretty close in size actually. I’m 6ft tall, 42 chest, 31 waist. I’m 180 ish pounds so you will have about 10 pounds on me there. Not sure how you liked the fit of the medium on me, but I actually felt it was a great place to be fit wise. It is a bit big, but not to a point where it looks oversized - enough to layer a sweater underneath or whatever you want comfortably. And not so fitted like the Nuptse to feel constricted . The medium may be a tad smaller fit on you because you have a bit more mass. But I’d wager a medium would be a good place to be for yourself. Hope that helps a bit ! Thanks for taking a moment to comment.
@@Joshua88Graham Thanks so much.. yes the fit looks great on you and we are of a similar size. I will take your advice and go for the medium. Cheers again
Hey there! I was looking about Lhotse in women but I think is only for men..am I right? And I am between Diablo Down and Himalayan Down…🤔 what’s your opinion? Which one is warmer?
What’s good brother! I’d say the thickness is about the same honestly. Only difference is the way the Nuptse is sewn, makes it have that puffy Michelin man look. The Lhotse has a smoother puffiness and not that lumpy puffy look. It’s hard to explain ha, but hopefully that makes sense !
Hey man, thanks for taking a moment to leave a comment (: And yes, I plan on doing a North face showdown for the warmest coats they have- and the HMLYN will def be a part of it ! Keep safe and well out there

Take a look at my HIMLYN video, that actually was my favorite one out of the three ha. I feel it really gets all the aspects the others are missing. For the complete puffer coat, I like the HIMLYN, LHOTSE, then Nupste. For casual, style purposes I think the Nupste wins
Hey there! If you like this style, it’s a really great coat. Length and fit is really nice, very warm. Like literally every puffer out there, just make sure you’re not doing any activities that’s gonna rip the fabric often. Otherwise, it has held up well (: Be safe and well out there!
Let me see if I can get one and I’ll review it for ya (: From what I’m seeing older versions of the Vostok are much better suited for the really cold weather (in the range you are asking). While The newer ones not so much, but let me see what I can do bro !
Some please give me advise. I really like lhotse jacket. I have 186 cm and aprox 98 kg but im very wide on shoulders. No belly. I wourkout a lot. You think Size L will be ok for me ? Sorry for my english😅
