The physical resemblance is uncanny but reading about the real Seppala it seems that he was much more of an extroverted goof than the rather stoic and broody portrayal in the movie. Apparently he loved to show off, do somersaults and handstands in the middle of the street to entertain the children.
Seppala (rip), had so much skin in the game. He was right about the fact that people would be speaking about his story all around the world. I'm from Marrakech, Morocco, North Africa.
Best movie ever at least for me. The message behind it. Lidership, endurance, love, bonds, compassion between man's friend. Togo has inspired me tremendestly. Love it. 5 start movie
These Huskies were heroes 💜 what does my husky do, he chews up my tennis shoes, destroys things in my house, jumps up on the couch and scratches it.😏 Rules and obedience mean nothing to my dog Shiloh. 😕
Huskies are dogs with a strong working instinct and not couch potatoes. You're probably not working with them and that's why they discharge their energy by destroying things.
Beautiful true story and film, Sappola took him cause he trusted TOGO and knew he could only make it with him. Glad they survived it all and saved others. ❤️❤️❤️
I want to see this film so bad, cuz it looks so good. Homeward Bound back in the 90s got me in love with films like this, as well as films like Jungle2Jungle, Mrs. Doubtfire, and alike, just good clean family films.
What an extraordinary movie! If I ever get the chance to have a genie grant me a time travel wish this is it: be 12 years old in 2019 to watch this movie through those eyes.. And let me add here that it's not often that Hollywood offers dialogues between couples at this level; also, really great actors 🙂
I love Togo I wish I could had met him and i could had seen him and his team😆😊🙂❤❤❤ I wanna know how you colored the dog to look like Togo? I actually thought you used a dog that looked like togo? Ya know?
@@MythyBlue the dog in the movie, Diesel, is the 14th times great grandson of Togo, and they used him because he looked the most like Togo out of all the registered Seppala Siberians.
Balto was also a hero. He was not a lead dog and fox&him were still capable of leading the other sled and arrive on time. Happy to have the great Togo recognized! But Balto was not guilty of the humans telling the story wrongly. Great movie, sountrack, characters and story!
@@FerS-Jack Fox was the one who got royally screwed in this story. I mean first of all I had never even heard of Togo, but I’m glad that Disney made this film (even though they did “Disneyfie” the real story a bit to make it end happier), but most of it was true. Balto has been well known for years and to the uneducated person, he or she would think he led the entire run all by himself. But like I said , Fox got screwed. They both showed up leading the team and the media decided to make Balto a star and completely ignored Fox. Then again, Balto didn’t live a good life after the serum run. I tried to find information on what happened to Fox and came up empty.
Willem Dafoe was perfect for this role! He is a very sincere actor.
100% agree
No one could have played that role like he did. You are absolutely correct.
And if you ever see photos of the real life Leonhard Seppala, the resemblance is amazing!

This movie made cry, i loved and adored this story
Me to cried for 15 min
I adored this film so happy the full story is being told.
Willem Defoe is one of my top favorite actors. How I loved him in this film. All of the casting, including the dogs were 🎯
I cried through this whole film

Yes, a truly fantastic one it won’t ever leave my heart 🤍
☺️such a good movie, thank you for introducing togo. Him and the rest of the dog need to be recognized
The range of this actor forces respect. Such a versatile and talented actor! As for the movie, it is an absolute delight for the whole family...😎
The film looked spectacular too. So much better than the CGI call of the wild film. Great work.
Great actor for the role, adorable movie
I never hugged my dog so tight as after I saw this movie
Such an amazing movie !!!!
*Togo is the second unsung hero in 2019 after Ken Miles.*
William is one of My All Time Favourite Actor He has a calm Voice. Still the Best Norman Osborn

This movie was a treat for the eyes and heart. "Well done, all!"
I feel strange that Willem Dafoe really looks like Leonard Sepalla
probably the best movie William dafoe starred after Platoon
You haven’t seen a lot of movies with him in it then lol.
what a great movie, movie magic right here, willem is one the greats
I want to see this film so bad, cuz it looks so good.

I love this movie. Watch on disney plus 💓
Loved this film.
ウィレム・デフォーさんが演技をする為に沢山の努力を惜しまなかった!とても努力家で素晴らしい俳優さんですね👏❗
Great movie loved it but the dogs are the stars n Togo what a dog
Sir No.1 movie 👌
am so touched about the movie at the end😢😔😭
Absolutely fantastic movie, ending was heartbreaking as hell.
Probably my most favourite movie of all time.. 🥹❤❤❤✨ Willem Dafoe in a role that fits him like a glove - Master and Masterpiece!!
i always love your work...u r eye-catching which make us interesting
Amazing movie! Loved it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This movie made me cry but I love the movie!
The best movie I have seen in years

The adult Togo in the movie was actually related to the real togo. (distant descendant)
@@MythyBlue the dog in the movie, Diesel, is the 14th times great grandson of Togo, and they used him because he looked the most like Togo out of all the registered Seppala Siberians.
This and last Temptation of Christ were some of his best movies
Can't believe disney+ removed this amazing movie 😢
😢❤willem dafoe the true story of Leonhard sepplala
Great movie!
Super
This for amazing movie my favorite
The real story of Balto
Technically the real story of Togo. Balto ony did the last part if the run. Togo did the longest and hardest part
It’s actually the story before Balto, Togo started the run and Balto finished
Watch the movie and the distinction between Togo and Balto will be made clear.

Where can i watch this online
No wonder I thought he was the Norman Osborn character…
I love Willem Dafoe, but the whistle sounds he makes whenever he pronounces words with "s" in this clip are ear-piercing 😅
😂 i agree
I never noticed. Guess I notice his character more than anything else.
@@JBWEBTV Dafoe was perfectly casted to play Leonhard Seppala. He even looks like the real Seppala.
Now I can't unfocus on this 😭
Actor Colin Firth has the same whistle, although I never noticed Defoe's.
Oh...
Espectacular película
Diphtheria dislike the video
Epic Movie!! Great Actor! 💪👌👍
