I mean the $4 usd one was an actual haircut although the $200 went into a different category of beauty/spa treatment at the end u looked happy enough to make me question if $200 was the worth one. Pd: I really hope u get those 100k views cause this video is actual good content keep it up dude.

Sorry buddy but you totally got ripped off. What you got was a spa treatment with the added bonus of a "haircut", which didn't really change in style or appearance. The first guy on the other hand got his money's worth.
The $4 haircut was a lot more thorough than what I'd get at a typical discount salon. We would call the expensive haircut a spa treatment. That's a pretty good price for all of that.

@@squiggs1002 it’s also another way to get a regular customer, you do this great looking haircut chopping off so much length and tell the customer “if you want to maintain this same great look on you, you’ll have to get it trimmed every 2 weeks”.
Plus most of their customers are old ladies they said, so normally it would only take 10 minutes or less to trim their hair as they tend to keep it shorter.

I had a haircut when I lived in Japan.
The old man cutting my hair asked how I'd like my hair cut, and I said short.
Before he started, he patted my hair, then started running his fingers through my hair. He did it for a about a minute or so, then asked me in Japanese if I was Chinese.
I told him my Grandparents are from China but moved to Vietnam.
I was impressed that he could tell just by feel and he said Japanese hair is very thick and dry but my hair was straight smooth and soft.
Wow that $4 cut was very well done! The amount of detail and effort put into it was astounding. Thank you for giving some insight on what goes on in a high end salon - that was very insightful and fun to watch! We NEED more Momoka.
Ye the haircut was good but my god why tf the guy had horrible haircare, didn't you see his hair before? And the guy had the guts to say that he doesn't want them to messed up and the audacity that long hair is depressing 😂 man you don't treat your hair good so obviously is depressing
@@skydivenext the guy has curly hair, it's hard for it not to get frizzy unless you have an hour or more to look after it and style it - he probably just blew it out and left the house

You're paying less for the haircut and more for the SPA. The cut was mid for the price tbh. They could have done better styling imo.

Interesting that at the end I would say both cuts were worth the money. If you just needed a haircut the first shop did exactly what was needed. But if you want the whole personal grooming experience then the second option didn't seem as outrageously priced after learning all that comes with it. BTW I just got home from my $29 haircut ($5 tip, its America) that was pretty much like the $4 cut.

What a big improvement with a $4 haircut… & if you just want a quick cut, well worth the price. With the more expensive hair appointment, I think it’s worth the price with people who have more time to pamper themselves. This is personal pampering. Both are equally good. It’s a matter of time, cost & service.

I am based abroad but I'm currently in Japan since the beginning of this month, and I didn't have my hair cut since Christmas. I was patiently waiting to get my hair cut in Japan, and even though I only paid 3000 yen (basically the same I'd pay back home), I got a good haircut, they did my eyebrows and even offered me a shave (which I politely turned down since I don't have much facial hair anyway). I also love how they'd always consult with you what you want, and offer suggestions based on that. I just love the Japanese service, and how they treat each and every hair cut in such a professional manner, instead of just rushing it, so it was totally worth the wait.

It's awesome, glad I didn't miss out :D I would personally much prefer the cheap haircut since I feel really awkward when people go overboard with the "special customer" experience - the hairdresser doing the cheap cut was so nice and so dedicated and seemed really down to earth. Also, I could get my hair cut every week and not go broke! The expensive one is a great deal for all the services frankly, but it also seems really overwhelming. I feel like i'd rather do one of those per day so I can truly focus and enjoy them.

The $4 haircut was the deal of the century. I normally pay $17 in the SF Bay Area for a 10 min haircut at my local Vietnamese barber. And the service you received for $4 was outstanding. She was very thorough for the price.
