    This is similar to the Spam musubi in Hawaii. But if I have to compare, I believe the one in Hawaii is much better since it composes of a slice of grilled Spam on top of a block of rice, wrapped together with nori in the tradition of Japanese omusubi.

  • @disly_strawhat
    @disly_strawhat 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I will start by saying that this looks really good and I will have to try it when I get to Korea. It still does not change the fact that it felt odd and a bit alarming seeing it made this way because I live in Hawaii lol. Not a version I am use to so it took a minute for it to settle in my brain.

      what are the differences between the two styles of making? im curious

    • @RivkahSong
      @RivkahSong 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jnkiee Normal Spam Musubi is the rice on the bottom, maybe a thin layer of of egg (depending on the person), and then the spam that's been fried in teriyaki sauce and wrapped in nori. I've never seen it made this way before, either!

      Born raised in Hawaii. Seen and made it many different ways. I have made it with portugueses sausage, hot dog, bacon, vienna sausage, kim chee and rice, fried fish. Optionals are endless to your imagination.

    What was that? Tuna or salmon? Also, what kind of leaf did he/she put in there? Micro greens were a nice touch. What kind of white sauce? And was that balsamic glaze?

      I think we're seeing a little crossover action here. Kimbap seems like it's usually rolled up, and has vegetables in it, some sesame oil, a more wholesome thing all together. On the other hand, I can make SPAM Musubi myself!
