Rode a T7 on a trip in South Africa and Botswana this year - rear brake performance was my only complaint. Camel-Adv is solid in their engineering and testing.
It is a good fix for the T7 brake, a recommended upgrade. It's even easier to swap out if you loosen the 12mm bolt holding the OEM brake pedal, by using an extension arm/socket combo and coming through the other side of the bike. Now remove the brake-side pedal assembly as Josh did but leave the brake light wiring attached/in place. Now remove the previously loosened brake pedal without detaching whole assembly from the bike. Unhook the brake light spring though 😁. Put the new one in, you bewdy!
Good stuff Josh ! The action shots actually were decent. Definitely the next upgrade for mine as well. Good to see you representing the Camel crew down unda!
Hello Josh, well a great informative video on your bike the T7 Maybe you need to check out a Triumph Tiger??? LOL..:). OK wishing you a Merry Christmas and may you have an exciting New Year....Thanks for a great year of your channel...you are good to watch and learn from David...Adelaide...Tiger 900GT & Street Scrambler....
Looks a good bit of kit compared to stock. It bugs me that rear brakes on bikes these days seem an afterthought in most cases. TBH though, I hardly use mine due to a duff ankle, but would def want the brake to work well on the times where I do rely on it!
I believe in my case it's the brake pads or calliper rattling, I think all my bikes have made that noise when using rear brakes. Unless it's something else you're hearing 🤔
$263 for the pedal ? , how much for the one finger clutch ?, I think these 2 are a must and now thanks to you Steg pegz , mate you have to stop with the upgrades your costing me a fortune 🤣, enjoy your Xmas 👍😎
Yeah man it's $228 for the brake and $106 for the clutch, plus shipping. Just keep knocking out those videos and eventually they'll send you some stuff for free 😁 Sorry Paul no more add-ons that's it I'm done until someone sponsors me some new suspension 😎😅 Hope you guys have a great Xmas too cheers 🍻
DUDE, will you behave yourself! everytime you drop a vid of t7 fixes mine needs to be done too! chain and sprockets, cush drive and now brake pedal 😂. I put the pedal off till I needed one and absolutely turned mine the wrong way round so it was above the foot peg on a slide out atbthe abr festival. lucky for me rugged roads was there and fitted "the fix" in the field while having a beer. all I changed on it was the bolts for the brake tip to shallow dome head bolts so it doesn't catch my skid plate.

Worthy upgrade, cheers Paul
Absolutely agree about the stock pedal. Just installed the "The Fix" and what a world of difference!!
Pity Yamaha couldn't get it right, but I guess we should cut them some slack they did do a lot right with the T7 ❤

Thanks, the part at the end with the brake light switch is huge. Thanks

Much respect for what they're doing mate 💪
I agree this needs done but a revalve is next for me. I rode a klr with racetech suspension and it blew my mind how good
You're not getting a KLR next are ya Jim 😬
It’s a great improvement from a great company imo. And a great vid 🤟
Cheers Steve 🤘
Saw the camel vid, definitely looks like a good thing.
Yer spot on mate
Good stuff Josh
🍻🍻

Pffft Tiger 😅 Cheers mate one more vid tomorrow night then that might be it for the year thanks for all the comments & support mate 🍻
I've not noticed a problem with the stock brake pedal.
first time I have so bad stock rear brake, few times already lever dropped down with no pressure...
Yeah that's not good 🤔
I guess you'd have to recess a zerk in the bolt head if you don't like to take-apart. The pop rivets are a nice touch.
I don't know if I'd be too worried about lubing it all that often 🤷♂
@@MVDBR maybe Polar bear feature....
Agood sized tip...thats what she said. Finally got your glasses on! Haha

How's the Toe Rag rear mate, surely not as bad as the T7 💩
@@MVDBR Not had any issues with it, but it isn't as strong as I'd like it to be. It isn't a lever issue I don't think, more just a weak brake.
@@HippoDrones yeah fair enough the T7 has the same AND a shit lever but at least this makes it a lot better
@@MVDBR 😀
2:34 that's what she said.
😏
I noticed a clunking noise on bumps when you had the camera on the rear brake pedal. My T7 makes this too. Is it the kickstand?

Could be the chain as well.
Can't wait to fit mine, but that will not be until mid feb LOL
You've got your hands full already by the looks of it. Interested to see how ya tower turns out 😁
@@MVDBR Indeed, and now covid as well 🙈, I ill work through it LOL.
Also received a clamp tool to service my open cartridge with s stuck comp needle..
Yeah won’t be getting one of them cause as usual don’t make ‘‘em for their cousin the Xt660r 😂 anyway great vid have a good Xmas and new year 🎉🍺
The 660 brake is alright anyway isn't it?? Same to you mate thanks for the support this year 🍻

Hahaha awesome stuff mate. Have you got the Nicecnc footpegs yet? 😁
@@MVDBR 🐫 black alloy ones
Legend!
Hey Josh, $495 for a brake pedal? That is way too much, I'll just live with a spongy brake I think
Huh? What currency is that? They are $263 AUD including shipping to Australia.
