I really like that there are people working on a proper truck sim for consoles. This one looks already much better than TruckDriver
It meets all my expectations with my experience of Truck Driver... The repetition of motorways doesn't bother me as, funnily enough, motorways are by design pretty soulless affairs, what's important though is distance, we are truck/HGV drivers, not local delivery drivers, so having this much of Germany playable is spot on, I cannot wait to set up some multi drop routes and spend hours driving around picking up and dropping off, something we couldn't enjoy at all in Truck Driver.
I gotta say this looks to be a step in the right direction, truck driver never looked good to me even before it was released. This game however seems to be much more realistic approach to trucking. If the devs support this title and expand the map in the future it will be a definite buy

I'm an ETS2 person, however the getting out the truck part is something that makes this game better than ETS2

This looks great. I like that u can get out of the vehicle, open doors and sign for deliveries is a nice touch. Would be cool to actually load vehicle with a pallet truck or fork lift and secure the load with straps.. but maybe I’m asking too much. And if it had those trucks with a forklift in the back, would be cool

Great video Jason! Another aspect of this game I love is the multi-drop/pick-up aspect. You can plan out your route of pick-ups, rearrange them into an efficient route and also plan out all your drop-offs. You can be out on the road for hours this way. You can also do the same for all your hired drivers which works really well :)
I remember seeing this a while back and said to myself, I would love if it came to console!!! Personal opinion, others may agree.....but this is what Truck Driver WISHES it could be!! I played that for at most just over a week and have not touched it since. I genuinely regret spending the money on that after having high hopes for it.
They even took some pictures of those employees from ETS2

ETS2 uses the photos from a open source website then. Or somewhere you can buy samples.
All if not most of the photos are of SCS employees and associates (including a couple streamers)
Looks like a great option for console only gamers. Definitely a massive improvement over Truck Driver. Seems like the map will be this games biggest hindrance at the moment, but that’s something that can always be improved/expanded on over time
It's biggest hindrance??? 6500 km of roads with a 1:5 scale, for consoles this is MASSIVE for a game of this genre... Some routes will have you driving for over an hour, that is a big deal for console players not to mention from a scale point of view it beats ETS2 hands down with its 1:19 scale
Stimson122 truck driver was utter garbage, hopefully this is a lot better
Compared to truck driver this will be a mall of a map if you get the comparison truck driver would be a shop
I've been waiting for a long time to get a good truck game for console. I hope this comes soon.
This AND Ets2/ATS needs rougher roads that shake the cabin like IRL.
This game is alot better than truck driver and that sound when the back doors open awesome and its more realistic can't wait too get the game

It's nice to see trucking games finally find its way to consoles and this one looks better than truck driver and as you mentioned getting out of the truck and doing everything manually is a great feature it adds a lot to simulation, can't wait for it

Straight away this appeals to me more than truck driver did. Could have a big future if they get it right.
I think that everything I wanted in truck driver is here, I agree that the multi drop aspect will be really good. As my laptop is now useless and I'm missing ETS2 this is really what I would like.

yeah and I'm not a huge fan of the conventional trucks, I'm a huge fan of cab overs. also you do have an American version of this its called American Truck Simulator.

All ETS2 and ATS need to add is the opening of doors, being able to get out of the truck IN GAME (not just in the garage) and maybe some very minor survival aspects. Things like oil changes, opening the hood, checking fluids and stuff. You see games like On The Road trying to emulate that, but the only ones that can pull it off are SCS.
Now, if I had to get out to connect air, raise the landing gear... I would probably hyperventilate and die of glee.

Didn't expect a video on this so soon. But I'm impressed by it and already better than what truck driver offered when it released. Little things make a big difference. Getting out the cab, filling up, opening the doors to load up and other things. Brilliant stuff thanks for the update.
This looks pretty solid , not just a truck sim clone ..... hopefully its successful and they look into a US game
I have the Truck Driver for Xbox One but this looks definetely more interesting game. Real, licensed trucks is one big reason, and the possibility to get out of the car to walk around, etc.
I can tell this is gonna be a first gen successful truck game for consoles. Also, they should smooth the curves cos they look like lines rather than realistic.

Its looking very good with the correct signs unlike truck driver, looks like germany and the autobahn. Being a coach tour driver driving all over Europe does look like a game i will buy.
Why didnt Truck Driver do any of this real shame.

It look's okay. I don't think the graphics will be this game's biggest selling point. But, there are so much cool detail in this game. Walking around, opening the back doors, refilling outside. I love it😃
The big question is how the port will be. If they can give us a version on console where everything runs fine and has wheel support, it could be a big hit.

I totally agree this is what truck driver should be. But really looking forward to this game coming to console, a smaller version of ets. I love the emersion. Filling up and opening up the doors etc. And a huge map and u can employ people for your company. Maybe extend map in the future.
liKEING this so far, only experienced euro and american truck sim. like this aspect of the game of getting out and so on thats a big seller for this really whished euro truck sim had that.
Can't wait to get this simulator. I really hope they don't lower the FPS as the series X would easily be able to handle 4k 60
GREAT video!! I think the scenery being similar is more immersive overall. Its not as if driving along in real life you see dozens of different types of trees etc. Life is repeatitive, so as "boring" as it might be, it is more realistic because of it. Again though, FANTASTIC video! Cheers, from the states!

No this is the PC version I was playing in preparation of the console release. The console release especially the Xbox version is terrible. Do not purchase!

Truck driver had a lot of potential but the company didn’t wanna make it better. But this game has a whole new level of potential. If they can do a multiplayer version then it’ll be even better.
The environmental lightings is awesome than the other truck sim game and the physics too.
This looks pretty good, wish ets could bring us rigid trucks.

This looks far superior to Truck Driver, I can’t wait to play this myself. In time I’m sure they’ll expand maps etc and tweak gameplay and all that jazz, but so far i’m impressed with the smoothness, and the way the driving mechanics look, and the scenery isn’t so bad either really.
I’m sure they’ll improve on it, I hope in time, we shall see. But it’s very promising so far.
Just remember this is the PC version. I am pretty sure they can put a decent enough port together. Like i said though, expect 30fps.
I was just about to buy Truck Driver for the Xbox, then watched your last video on it, and the lack of updates etc. Killed that idea.
I then watched this one for On The Road. I'm now holding out for it. I do think that Areosoft should add some of the features from their Trucks and Logistics Sim game like forklifts, cranes and cross platform multiplayer. would make it a game changer, and maybe you will have something to go against Euro Trucks 2.
This is really good for people on console
Remember PS5 has advantage over PC in some good areas with its Ssd type so optimizations shouldn't be an issue. its funny but i think ETS2 scenery can get repetitive as well, with ATS at least each American state looks a bit different so its less repetitive, maybe also depends how much time you spend in each state.
At the end its good that consoles get trucking sim. I'v got both ETS2 and ATS so i will hold off with this for a while. Ya'll remember it took SCS few games to get to standard where it is now, They still update and work on ETS2 to this day, since 2012 so On the road has some miles to go still, but it already has some cool mechanics i'd wish were in SCS games :)
hope when ps5 comes out they will make it for the ps5.

It looks a little better than truck driver but I’m gonna remain sceptical about this game. It’s nice that the map is bigger and you have longer traveling from place to place but I think they could have made the gas station pump more realistic, like in tsw where you actually hold the gas pump nozzles, open the gas lid to trucks tank and put nozzle in and pump in the gas. Also I would hope there is a 3rd person view where we can drive and see the whole truck and scenery
Howcome ETS2 didn't come to consoles? It isn't like it is graphically demanding, and I'm sure it was shown as coming to Xbox at one of the E3 press conferences?

I think it comes down to manpower and there's only partial controller support.
Opinion: Also I don't think there's much of a market for it on consoles, since it's more of a casual platform.
Then again, Farming Sim is on console
It’s a nice game graphics brilliant but one thing 👎🏽 why left hand drive specially, if lm not wrong UK is right hand drive apart from that can’t wait for the game to come out 👍🏽
As i have ETS this would be perfect for my daughters to play, like you say actually doing the loading opening the doors and refuelling brings you more into the game is a great idea but would like to see the actual driver walking around like in bus sim which would be a nice touch.
With a couple of good dlc's and some new trucks mabey euro truck might get a big enough push to port over to console

I play a lot of ETS2 and ATS, and also have a PS4 Pro. To be honest, I'd want/expect this to look significantly better before I bought it on console. Many of the buildings look like cardboard cutouts.
I Think this is going to be a great Truck Game, looking forward to this.
I'm also pleased they went with Unity as I find on Console Unreal can look a bit low res and blurry...I just hope they have addressed the know Unity streaming hitches when each section is loaded from memory... Something we saw in Truck Driver and I've even seen it in Derail Valley on a powerful PC
