With the information in hand about Mary Magdalene, I don't think I'm qualified to make any comment about her role as one of the early Christian leaders. I am glad that these three texts were omitted from the bible. Praise the Lord! On an off shoot for these reasons, knowing how many people associate mind bending drugs (pharmakeia) with getting closer to a higher power... you can only imagine the mess this will cause if these mystical, self awareness, inner growth, meditative texts were in the bible!! These three people witnessed the death, resurection & ascension of Christ & what it all means for man, yet they wrote this self gratifying rubbish. Less of me, more of you Lord. The gentiles were to be given the holy scriptures by the Jews, yet they kept them for themselves, considering everyone else as dogs for they alone were *chosen. It was their job to take care of the scriptures as someone had to, but they failed to share them. They also failed to understand that Christ was the Messiah. Christ had to be born a Jew or they would never have given him any access to the temple, synogogues etc. I ramble, If the focus is not on Christ alone, then the text is inaccurate. Even the Catholic church has veered off the path with sacred cows (tradition), worship & prayer to Mary, Forgiveness through a priest etc....all very unscriptual & satanic.
