Yes it has like a foot of water. On the other side it the dam the part that doesn’t have water on it there is a huge manhole cover i think that is where it comes out. But when I climbed down to get that phone it was sketchy and I would not go under there. You should just lift the cover off sometime and you will see what im talking about.

I can't believe how high the water rose even though it didn't rain when you were there. Glad you made it across that shit is scary because i've fallen and gone under in rivers, luckily in a small pool when the temp was 90 degrees out. Hope you go back and get more cats on future shows bud. Good fun show with a thrill at the end.
Man i tell you what. The bite was great i was only there for about an hour and half. I was so into the fishing because it was one bite after another that i didnt realize how fast the water was rising. Thing i hated most is not being able to see where im stepping cause it was all chocolate milk
Have you ever done the catfish derby out of owego? It's usually the first weekend in June. It's usually a good time. Me and my step son pulled in 5 and an eel and lost more than that, but we weighed in an 8.4 pounder. A couple bigguns that would've at least come close to winning got us wrapped around trees though. If you need bait or some tackle my buddy Stan just opened up a bait shop out off of 12a in chenango bridge and I believe his pops still does bait by Tompkins street too.
No i never heard of it to be honest with ya. Sounds like you had a decent haul. Im gonna have to look into that! Thanks for the info. And i know where the shop is in chenango bridge, ive stopped by there plenty of times haha
You know it's a good day when you can't even set your rod and you have a fish on. That river i bet has some 25LBers easily. You should go back there a lot especially after spawn when their back to eating like crazy!
