    My dad worked on the Roberts tunnel for the dam. We lived in Breckenridge. It was still an old mining town back then. Remember old Dillion very well. Thanks for the memories.❤

    I use to live in Frisco and worked at Climax Molybdenum mine, and use to ride my dirt bike on the beaches/shoreline when the camp grounds were closed,fun times

    I had never seen the relocation of Dillon. My step father owned the service station shown in old Dillon. I met Anna Emore. Anna's son Hank and her grandson Mark were our next door neighbors in New Dillon and attended the old Dillon church as a young boy.

    During the early 1860s there was an enormous village of Utes where 10 Mile Creek converges with the blue river. Also interesting, explorerJohn C. Fremont and expedition trekked through the site of future Dillon during the mid 1840s.

    and now its one of the most heavily gaurded dams in the US for whatever reason.

      I heard someone said they were gonna blow it up when I was out there and they started having the guards up there. it provides a lot of water to a lot of people if it went not only would the town below it get washed out people wouldnt have water

      When you drive over that dam and look down at lil kids playing baseball its always a thought

    Before they started flooding the valley my dad took us kids to an ice cream shop in old Dillon,
    They were selling ice cream cones for a penny a scoop,
    You ever tried to carry an ice cream cone with 20 scoops of ice cream on it ?
    What a mess 😁
