Whenever I travel to #Goa, I always make sure to take a train for an onward or return journey. it is always a beautiful and mesmerizing journey. I am sure the train must have stopped at Ukshi station as there is a crossover. In monsoon, there are numerous waterfalls just next to railway tracks and it is amazing.
Goa Tejas Express was especially for NRI and upper-middle-class travellers. However, it does not live up to its standards. Takes too much time due to the single track and Ghat section. Also, cleanliness and catering are never up to the mark. I do not understand why they provide so much food, stead; less food with better quality can be an alternative. When I travelled in January, catering was not there, doors were not properly closed, remained open. I have seen staff throwing used plates and aluminium bowls throw out of train always, so that they do not have to clean later.
Just to enjoy nature's beauty, the Vistadome coach of Jan Shatabdi is a million times better than this.
Though private Tejas train is always class apart.
Ps. It was a time when the Konkan railway was non-existent and we have travelled for more than 30 hours just to reach Goa from Ahmedabad to Goa, which now takes around 15 hours.

I travelled today and food was almost similar. Except in breakfast no tea was served at all. There was curd in addition in both breakfast and lunch with all other items being same. I think the serving staff are not particular in serving all items in menu.
