I remember In 2017 when popcap did a character showcase and it was scallywag imp, I maxed him out that very day PVE ONLY somehow (I didn’t know pvp existed in GW2 backthen) and then the showcase was gone. A year later I had every character, then 3 months later I got every legendary character from grinding infinity time and wonderous packs of greatness. Then I had every one but one…. Scallywag imp. And there a 4 year journey took place. From 2018 I was begging for scally, then 6 months ago I got him. 2023 August. There I had my full collection complete (including twilight and Z-7). :)
We could've lived in a world where disco chomper was on the hero showcase. Regardless, I am so glad that Disco Chomper and Computer Scientist were never put up for sale.
It's worth noting that for a 2nd time Popcap made the mistake by putting up Park Ranger as a toxic variant in the pack texture when he isn't. The 1st time was when a Toxic character exclusive super mix mode event happend (forgor the name) in the Mystery Portal, that Park Ranger was added in a few days later (on a thursday if I remember correctly).
Honestly, the element packs are really cool and should of made it into the game, like they would change the pack element every week and would cost 45000 each
Let’s be glad that Computer Scientist and Disco Chomper weren’t made into microtransactions like the rest of the GW2 legends. Also, I’m sure you’ve hear the news about the recent issues with GW2 PC, so I hope this footage is from before the problem arose. If not, please be careful, as I (and a lot of others) would hate to see your account get banned for no reason.
This footage was all from before the situation, but seeing as how the skids have a hitlist up and I’m not on it, I will hopefully be fine. It’s awful that this is even happening in the first place though, it’s honestly horrific
@@JesseTwice Skids have gotten access to dev tools, granting them the power to ban anyone they see fit. They say they only target TH-camrs, but I don’t completely trust them…
Tbh I'm a little surprised you didn't mention how they changed the appearance of a few of the packs and even eventually removed the content update packs as well, even if they were used for a while

I randomly got 3 packs in GW2 about half a year ago and I have yet to open them. The rank 100 pack (GW1 rank 100) A Minions booster pack I believe? And the Old 35k pack I don't know what I did to unlock them, even the rank 100 GW1 pack, I'm only rank 40. Just thought it was cool to mention
