I bailed hay in Iowa back in the 70’s, didn’t have the nice rolled hay bailers! Nice bailer, well kept ! I lived in Austin for two years, enjoyed Texas a lot..! I’m in New Mexico now, slowly selling all my things, need to upgrade a few things to get this house ready to sell next year! You mentioned making a smaller foot print, are you downsizing?
First it's great you found our channel. Great comments also. Yes I am shrinking our footprint. now I know that sounds odd while I am building a shop and have a house to shed conversion going on but they all have purpose. Our channel is about the duality of life in Texas farming/ranching and then living in Philippines part of the year as well. Trying to manage both lives and keep it all floating. Eventually something will have to give. We are thinking the cows will need to shrink down so we can winter out in the Philippines and then hit hay hard in Spring when its too hot in Philippines.
The shop will allow me to lock all our belongings away and keep equipment out of the weather. . We plan to rent our house and live in 5th wheel while we are stateside. another bit of downsizing. I will never sell this property just pass it on to somebody in my family to keep our heritage alive here. Maybe my daughters or another family member time will tell...
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that baler? I already know those khun discers are kinda pricy. I need a good, reasonably cheap, mower conditioner, a haybine,a discbine,a hydra swing, just a decent winrow mower of any kind. So hit me up if anybody has any hay equipment for sale. Also, just to recap, a reasonably cheap used good condition conditioner...i can find $12,000 conditioners without tossing a penny over my shoulder on TH-cam and hoping someone has what I'm looking for in my budget range. I'm talking three grand max, and it's got to be field ready. 540 or 1000 doesn't make a difference because my case will spin both at 108 pto hp. but sincerely if any of your subs had a line on one somewhere in the southern central us. No farther north than Nebraska and no farther east or west of Utah and maybe Tennessee , but that's a pretty wide swath, no pun intended, of the farm belt.
Nice property, beautiful farm
