@@margaritadankova1932 Thank you. We WILL return to Latvia later, it's such a great country, and we want to experience more. On our trip we mainly visited Riga and Ventspils, but we're fully aware that the country has SO much MORE to offer, and we're looking forward to experience more of it :)
@@johnnymartinjohansen the best time usually is the Midsummer or Christmas time:) I recomnend to visit Rundales palace and hiking/tracking trails. Like kemeri national park or “Ieriķu dzirnavas”, or “Cecīlijas taka” if you like walks and nature:) also Tērvete nature park is a nice place with many options what to do:)

Aglona is actually located in the South-East, not North-East and best combined with a visit to Daugavpils. Generally a good overview, but I wouldn't put Jelgava in this top, since much of the city was destroyed during WW2. Instead I would go for places like Ventspils, Talsi, Līgatne, Limbaži.

tukums is great, a very historic place with lots of old houses preserved. looks like ludza too but there i have not been to explore but would like to

4 full days... 2 days for Riga, 2 days for the country side...
It's enough, and fully worth it... in summer or late spring of course, don't bother in the winter...

Latvia is a dangerous country for tourists. On the coast, tourists are hunted by the police and fines from 100 to 1000 euros are imposed for violations of protected areas. I recommend choosing the coasts of Estonia and Poland, it is safer there.
Do not go to Latvia for seaside tourism!!!. Latvian police set traps for unsuspecting tourists and issue fines from 100 to 1000 euros for violations of the "protected zone", although there are no boundaries from where to it, no signs and information boards that it is a protected zone.
Its a ok city after 2 days it get quite boring 😂😂
